I stopped in Half Price Books for the first time in years and found this.  For as much as I love the Detroit pianists and Barry Harris, this is only my second leader date of his.  As is to be expected from Harris and the Maybeck series, it is excellent.

Playing this one again. When I first switched over from a Simmons drum kit to a Sonor kit in the last band I was in I played and tried to practice to “God Bless the Child” on cassette over and over. . . taught me a little somethin’ somethin’. . . .

I think Barry Harris was the next thing to Bud Powell. I don´t have records with him as a leader, but many where he is a sideman.
