For as much as I love the Detroit pianists and Barry Harris, this is only my second leader date of his. As is to be expected from Harris and the Maybeck series, it is excellent. Quote

I think Barry Harris was the next thing to Bud Powell. I don´t have records with him as a leader, but many where he is a sideman. Quote
