Mosaic just released "The Complete Sonny Clark Blue Note Sessions" and my copy arrived yesterday evening.

They seem fine. I haven't read the notes yet, just glanced through. Some nice photos not seen before. . . .

All this Sonny Clark talk...

Great sound quality to my ears... even back when my ears could tell the difference. :)

I agree. . . I like the sound on the "Complete" version I have from Japan a lot.

Arthur Blythe - Calling Card (Enja, 1995)
with John Hicks, Cecil McBee, and Bobby Battle

This is a companion disc to Blythe's Retroflection (Enja, 1994).  Like that release, this album was recorded at the Village Vanguard in June 1993.

😁☝️

Just in on my new Mosaic box. Great LP

☝️😁

Great indeed and particularly memorable to me as it was one of the very first Blue Notes I heard, as it was included in the first batch (along with Stanley Turrentine's Look Out!) to be released in the UK at the relatively late date of c.1962. Afterwards came the deluge and a friend was pursued by a record store manager for what he owed for a whole  pile of Jimmy Smiths.
