A stormy morning;Tobi the Supermutt is not at all happy, clinging to me, we’re waiting for it to stop so we can go out.

I started off re-listening to the second UHQCD disc in the Lost Recordings Miles Davis 1964 set (I sure wish they had found and used the tapes to the second show in Berlin, I’d love to thave a disc of that!), and now am listening to:

Bobby Gordon And Dave McKenna “Clarinet Blue” Arbors cd.

A great quartet recording where Bobby mirrors dome Pee Wee Russell characteristics, something I really admire.

Recorded at Avatar Studios, New York City on May 17-18, 1999

Hristo Vitchev “The Perpikon Suite” First Orbit Sounds cd

Hristo Vitchev, guitar, Weber Iago, piano, Christian Tamburr, vibraphone, Joe DeRose, drums, and Dan Robbins, Bass.

I originally purchased this because I love the piano playing of Weber Iago, but I’ve come to really enjoy Vitchev’s guitar playing as much.
