That's right. He was an original Beach Boy.

He subbed for Brian Wilson on the road for a year several years after the band's formation. I don't think that qualifies as an "original Beach boy". :)

Glen Campbell had skills, all kinds of skills. Never mind the kind of queasy/queasier/queasiest relationship he had with "show business" over the years, this cat had skills. RIP.

He also played guitar on some of their backing tracks.

And on a lot of other records, as one of the "Wrecking Crew".

I like a lot of his stuff, including "Southern Nights". His acting in True Grit was terrible though, so it's a good thing he had the music thing to fall back on.

Alzheimer's is a shitty way to go out. RIP, Glen.

I had never heard of Sagittarius.  Fascinating story: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sagittarius_(band)  I wouldn't have identified Campbell as the lead singer.

Yes.  Beach Boys alum Gary Usher was behind the project.  I have the album but have not spun it in a while.

Did you see "Guess I'm Dumb" that I posted above?  Written and produced by Brian Wilson.
