Blue Note doesn't delay the CD. It's also available for pre-order... for $19.98 for a single CD!

In this day and age, putting a $20 price tag on a CD is ridiculous. Next they'll complain that no one is buying CDs anymore. :)

Yeah, that's just silly.

I am hoping that Amazon will get it for less than that. But right now they're only taking orders for download/streaming.

Wouldn't necessarily count on that. The Joe Henderson CD was similarly overpriced no matter where you looked. Hard not to feel like this is related to them having such success getting people to shell out for the Tone Poet LPs.

Good point.  Even CDJapan is coming in at $20 for this Silver.

Amazon has it up now for 19.98 and as I had Prime it's my best bet--I pre-ordered.

You got a link for that, please? All I can get is for mp3 & vinyl...🤔

I have long wondered what is so awful about the 1964 Live At Pep's session that it was rejected.

Supposedly Carmell Jones was heckled before (during?) the show and his playing was adversely affected. Michael Cuscuna gave the masters to Horace so there is a chance that they're out there somewhere. If someone knows Horace's son Gregory, maybe he has them... although I did read somewhere that Gregory may have also passed.

Wow - the clip sounds great.  I love the cover, may drive me to the LP.  The Penthouse is Seattle seems to be a fairly deep well.
