Found a copy of the T Bone Walker set locally and really really enjoying it! Wasn't so familiar with this blend of blues and jazz bands.

I listened very closely to the Sonny Berman/Bill Harris session today and liked it better than ever.

Disc 4: Berigan's trumpet is always riveting.  This is Mosaic at its best.

Oliver Nelson Mosaic, Disc 4: This may be only the the second time I've listened to this set in the few years I've had it, but I am loving the Pee Wee Russell album.

That's my favorite in this set! I'm not crazy about a lot of the set, but I'm crazy about Pee Wee.

A Mosaic I keep returning to often. Pass is equally capable here on nylon or steel strings. And that's a sign of a very good guitarist. He's paired here manily with Claire Fisher or Les McCann. I prefer the former one. Although McCann is also good in a more souljazzy bag.

It’s an under appreciated Mosaic.

I hesitated so long before I finally ordered a copy but never regretted it. Some great swinging music in this set.

Image result for the savory collection mosaic"

The music is great although the sound quality is all over the place, which is understandable.

Worked through all the discs and am now on the final Basie session.

The two Basie discs rock relentlessly, it must have been an adrenaline rush to hear them live.

I can't believe this is  still available. The two Basie discs are must-haves.

The previously unreleased quartet session with Cecil Payne, Ron Carter and Roy Haynes is face-melting.

Disc 2.  I hadn't heard a ton of Berry before buying this, but so far, so good.
