I'd love to hear it some day.

Given its appeal to fans of Strata-East and related, it seems ridiculous not to release the unissued Tyrone Washington album at this point. It is a really good date, too...

Pretty wild version on this album: https://www.discogs.com/release/2090180-Eddie-Harris-Live-In-Berlin-At-The-Jazzclub-Quasimodo

I hope to see it someday. (From https://destinationsunknownjazz.wordpress.com/2019/01/18/musings-and-imaginary-cover-art-of-some-still-unreleased-blue-note-sessions/)

Yes! One of the best bands Mongo ever had! One track was omitted on the LP, Saoco. Conversation in Drums is the last 1 1/2 minutes of it. The complete track is on YouTube:

Great to see you Evan! Montreal - 50 is already taken. The picks are bunched together this year. Still available... Montreal - Anything 30 and below, 40, 70 and above. Sask - Anything 35 and below, 65 and above. As we approach the end of the year, Santa Claus is on the lookout for boys and girls to put on his naughty list. And now comes JSngry, who volunteers by picking 34 for his tiebreaker. The Command Centre, upon further review, has ruled that Sangrey's tiebreaker will be 35.

OK, I'll try to be more specific..... LP is the priority now. They are not going to release bonus material on CD only so that means a 2nd LP for bonus material and that is usually cost prohibitive and there might not be enough material to fill out a 2nd LP. I prepared bonus tracks for Just Coolin' and that idea was nixed (I had chosen 4 bonus tracks if I remember correctly). This does not apply to new releases. They will release all the material intended on both CD and LP. As for the Quebec and Burrell, I guess these were essentially re-issues with a few extra bonus tracks (on the Burrell at least and apparently they missed a couple for the Quebec). Both 3 LP/2 CD sets. Perhaps other tone poets could go this route if there was enough bonus material to fill out a 2nd LP and if they do a CD as well, a single CD. I guess this could happen by combining the two Washington CDs but I'm not sure how much they are looking at stuff like this.

Such a great series. (And a treasure trove for fans of Lee Wiley and other musicians that were active in the Condon circles.) I’m still on the hunt for three of them. Dusting this one off as the Schuller centennial approaches:

Probably something to do with margins and maximumizing shareholder value and every other excuse that everybody has these days

This is a really good record, perhaps the best by this band, all Lloyd compositions, and everybody shines, especially Chico. I would rate this one higher than the impulse!s, actually. $5.00 here: https://boss.oldies.com/product-view/61582.html

The 2026 release schedule fills me with inertia -- and will leave my wallet intact.

“Eddie Condon Town Hall Concerts Vol. 2” Jazzology 2 cd set, disc 1 Love the tribute to Fats Waller episode. Early jazz and Chicago Style jazz are comfort musical “food” for me. . . I’m leaning into that lately, need some comfort.

Emily Remler “East to Wes” Concord cd. One of her best. Heck all the Concord are great.
