  2. Norgran MG N 1017 (Japan 1993) - Bud Powell "Jazz Original" - rec. 1955 💗 Love it!
  3. MGM (Japan) POJJ-1544 - Modern Clarinets - rec. 1947 to 1953
  4. So glad I grabbed this CD when it was out there:
  5. I’m not the biggest Silver fan and realize this makes me an exception but the personell and song selections got me interested.
  6. That’s very cool. Unfortunately the Muse catalog got neglected for long by the vinyl revival. I think I now have most of the stuff I want but we’ll see. They’ll do some Clifford Jordan and Woody Shaw for sure.
  7. Yeah!!! IMO, this label to me is what Blue Note was to jazz. REM, Fine Young Cannibals. Brilliant independent label. Oh Yeah!
  8. Today
  9. Fantastic price on that amazing and very hard to come by Rivers set! I always sensed they pressed very few of those and the Tolliver big band ones given how rarely they turn up for sale.
  10. I hope they add them to streaming services too.
  11. Maybe. How many more times am I going to listen to any real number of them again? I will look at that record infinitely more times than I will ever listen to it. Now THAT'S a good call!
  12. I will pick and choose. Some of the Muse pressings were crappy. Wonder how they will fund this without a dozen Bill Evans albums paving the path? PS- I hope they sell like crazy!
  13. Same here, but it would be nice to upgrade from old CD-R burns from questionable sources. But no interest in $32.98 vinyl. And why THAT Carlos Garnett title, which is much weaker than his first three albums on the label?
  14. Patton is sold. Like Wayne Shorter, Rivers was still creative into his 80s. He created opportunities for the players on these discs. Some of them were Disney musicians etc. Maybe to them their musical life depended on it.
  15. I got most of it already, in some form or fashion. All that I want, anyway. Most all of it anyway.
  16. Ltd Edition vinyl, I bet $30 is their price point and it would have to be some unknown and impossible to find release that they would ever get anything from me. And of all the recordings to choose from at the start, its the Roy Brooks again? (Oh but its never been issued in this extra special, massively overpriced vinyl!)
  17. Yesterday
  18. What more indeed?! 😉
  19. A couple of good 70's Charles Earland LP's, some good Joe Bonner albums, some primo Don Patterson, and an Eric Kloss LP with Hannibal Peterson are high on my list if they ever offer them on CD or reasonably priced digital.
  20. A good, strong recording.
  21. Ricky Ford has 7 Muse LPs that have never been released on CD ever.
  22. Nate's remembrance is lovely, and don't miss Tessa Souter's fantastic comment. (Full disclosure: Nate quotes from "Jazz from Detroit" in his piece and I chime in the comments with a coda.)
