  1. Past hour
  2. I've been picking up the different individual discs over the years, and decided not to buy the Blue Note box. So, it would be nice to have (if not essential) to give those recordings the 'Mosaic treatment'.
  3. I don't think so, but I'm not a Dexpert.
  4. John Butcher – Away, I Was
  5. Complete Tete Montoliu in Steeplechase, trio and solo recordings. Released discs are a complete mess, taken from different sessions, with some duplications, no chronological order (neither logical in some cases)... plus there are quite a few unreleased takes. Targeted market for this boxed set? Maybe four or five freaks here in Spain (☝️), and a few more elsewhere... 😁
  6. Is there much more beyond this? I know there was some stuff from that movie.
  7. Lee Konitz & Martial Solal - Star Eyes: Hamburg, 1983 (HatOLOGY) Outstanding.
  8. Today
  9. Angelika Niescier – Chicago Tapes A good one.
  10. Dexter BNs would be a no-brainer at this point. I'd buy one to plug some holes.
  11. It has to be better than this!
  12. (Inspired by Mark Stryker's Prestige records desert island list: Desert Island List no. 1: PRESTIGE RECORDS)
  13. Sooo ...@Late: What are YOUR impressions of the presence of the harpsichord on that album, then?
  14. It will be interesting to see how the East shakes out. I question whether the Red Sox have the offense to compete but they do have a lot of young stars and stars in the making that if they step forward, the offense has the potential to be just fine, and the pitching and run prevention should be very good.
  15. I enjoyed this one as an alternative to the complete sets, it covers the arly career including sideman dates in good remasterings. 16. MLB.com’s power rankings for Opening Day. The Dodgers unsurprisingly clock in at #1, while four of the other top ten teams are from the AL East.
  17. Allen's back to posting on these forums.
  18. Thanks! I was going to ask (time? Rough Draft or Tubby's?), but looked it up: 6-10 PM @ Tubby's The Quietus recently ran an article: https://thequietus.com/culture/books/alice-coltrane-eternity-book-review/
  19. The Jack Teagarden Orchestra “Radio Days Live: Bridgeport, Connecticut. August 16, 1944”
  20. Pettiford-led small and mid-size group recordings are always excellent
