Yes, it's a Cookers album, released in 2010, but it's a Harper composition.

He's an amazing artist!

I could not delete my own duplicate submission???
So i wrote "error" in the box otherwise the system does not accept the change.
Is that correct or is there another solution?
I seem to remember that in the past I could 'delet' hower
Thanks

That’s a Cookers date right ?

error

That is understandable. On the other hand, this is one of the most iconic bands in the history of jazz that only had the opportunity to make two studio albums. That is the primary source of the interest.

It definitively travels the spaceways.

I'd say those are here best 3 albums on Impulse! Plus of course the recent live record.

Immanuel Wilkins - Blues Blood [Blue Note, 2024] Such a great listen, I always thank @jazzbo as I listen to it for his championing of it. I was very lucky to see a truly marvellous concert by Ganavya this week. Wilkins guested on just two tunes but made a big impact.

I am very excited about the news and hope to visit as soon as it is ready, hopefully I can do so on a weekend. Sheet music will probably only be viewable onsite. There is also material at the Library of Congress which I made them bring in from copyright 30 years ago. I had sent Wayne copies of all of it, I wonder if what I sent him will wind up at NYPL! I am very curious about a number of unknown pieces, including Mass '65. One piece that was not at LC was his very first composition, La Vie Et La Mort, intended for two organs but eventually played on solo piano. I hope NYPL will have it. I attended the lecture where this blog post was presented. The presenter did not address where the material came from, but I suspect he thought the Library had somehow acquired it. What rock music are you listening to? Non-Jazz, Non-Classical.

Credence Clearwater Revival - Willy & The Poor Boys What a great album. Reacquainted after about 30 years following listening to a radio interview with John Fogerty. I remember hearing CCR when I was about 15 and they (alongside Bob Seger) epitomised what this British suburbs boy thought America sounded like 😀 I soon learnt it sounded like a lot more too! -

Alto sax Erena Terakubo at Takoma Station in DC - fabulous! She just started teaching at Michigan State in East Lansing so maybe she will team up with Jim and the cats from Organissimo! -

Re-listening to side 2 of this excellent album to hear Jack and Goldie. It’s too bad we lost both of these fine musicians too soon. I love the melancholy atmosphere of this LP. Jack Teagarden “Think Well of Me” Verve mono LP
