Oh, I feel sorry for you too. In our case, Serena told me years ago, that in case she might die before me, I must promise to take a stage piano to the incinerary services to play "When I fall in Love (I know it will be forever). Last year, after I recorded "Waltz for Serena" which you sure know, she added this also to the wish list. So I played them two tunes before she was incinerated. Thank you so much ! Yeah, much too soon and she looked so beautiful, like a model. Even when she was dead she looked like if she would sleep.

I love Nina (but she never knew) but .. I'm not sure but that her voice was particularly strong on this late record. YMMV It's on Spotify, you can decide for yourself

I have a special Attachment to this recording. It was one of the very first albums I bought back many many decades ago. Also the tune on this album "Crazy Rhythm" features one of my alltime favorite solos by Stan Getz!!!!!

Critters in my yard over the past couple days - Cottontail rabbits (many of them), Gila woodpeckers who think they are hummingbirds, and frequent mule deer.

According to a short piece in today's Guardian UK (reporting on something in the Washington Post): Kennedy Center ticket sales for orchestra, dance and theatre performances are at the worst they have been since the pandemic, analysis by the Washington Post has found. Back in September, the Guardian reported that ticket sales at the Kennedy Center had continued to plummet following Donald Trump’s takeover of Washington DC’s premier performing arts venue. Since then typical ticket sales are down from 93 per cent in late 2024 to about 57% this year, according to the Post.
