shout out for the Herman Mosaic Select (Philips years) - I recently picked this up from a massive collection (deceased jazz collector) It was one of the few Selects I didn't buy at the time but I'm stoked I got it - It's superb & highly recommended IMHO -
A cool morning, going to be another pretty but cool day. Starting off with the final, 7th disc to this very interesting Mosaic Records cd set. The Complete Woody Herman Decca, Mars And MGM Sessions (1943-1954)

Daredevil is my favorite of the TV series from Marvel, the seasons before "Born Again" were very good, and I think the second season of "Born Again" was excellent in how it mirrored current events in America. . . and ended more optimistically than we are likely to see happen in the near future. the violence is a bit extreme but that is part of the nature of the content, and I like that it is not shied away from. The series is well filmed. I've seen about a half an hour of "Wonder Man" so far. Gues it gets better.

PA (in this case U.K., not Andorran) label to the rescue if you are so inclined:

Ego is my favorite Lifetime record. No McLaughlin, but Ted Dunbar is great. More subdued due to the different guitarist, but the compositions are really good. There is a recording of Lifetime where Larry had to lay out due to a problem with the venue's organ. There is a bassist but it is most likely Dave Holland, not Jack Bruce. I cannot share this and it will never come out. I should not even be talking about it.
