Ichi-Ban was on Timeless, not Muse, though it is a really good album. And I'm with you on The Real Thing being great. This one was on Cobblestone, the forerunner of Muse, and is really good too:

The more I hear from this Zev guy the less I like him. By no means a new trend. I now avoid his projects unless I find one absolutely compelling.
-
Absolutely the same here.

if one does, one has to do it right. That guy in the back on that keyboard 🤣 this must give some of the board members here nostalgic feelings. I was born only three years later after this piece of art

Hindemith String Quartets - Thoughts? Recommendations?

That's because it is on this excellent disc by the Buchberger Quartet, highly recommended. The whole series on Wergo is excellent. https://www.discogs.com/label/532694-Edition-Paul-Hindemith The three box sets with all orchestral works on CPO sare the perfect complement. Add the various chamber music discs by the Ensemble Villa Musica to complete the picture. https://www.discogs.com/artist/1058369-Ensemble-Villa-Musica -

Pharoah Sanders “Message from Home” Verve cd Produced by Bill Laswell

alright 😀

That's absolutely on point. My problem with Muse is the sound - rather thin, no warmth, especially the bass, and bass drums almost inaudible. I doubt there will be much improvement. And they have short playing time. In most cases two albums woulb fit on one CD. Some are musically very good, some are avrerage. I find this listing to be more useful than the one on discogs, due to all foreign editions listed there. http://www.jazzlists.com/SJ_Label_Muse_5000.htm Muse continued when Prestige was turned into a fusion label. I'm not making any sacrifice. The benefits of her love and trust far outweigh being cautious and mindful pf her apprehension and insecurity. Right now Jazz is Dead 7 "Joao Donato"

these two then…. The last is desert island stuff for me

Yeah, but "more people", in this case, is likely going to be the flippers/hoarders. Many of these new Muse LPs will never be opened and will sell from collector to collector in that condition. I'm betting that a lot of these will not be bought for the music.

Pat Martino made some damn good stuff for Muse too. Counciousness, Live and The Visit. Amazing stuff. Not looking to replace mine but if this brings more people in touch with his music: let them reissues come!

Everybody has to make some kind of sacrifice, i understand.
