Concerning the Morton - Jelly tells you all you really need to know. If you want books and pictures, look elsewhere. About 8 hours of pitch corrected Jelly. If you don't have the Rounder box and don't want to pay about $150 for the set, the download is wonderful. I had the Riverside lp versions of the Circle lps and the Riverside "all music" lps. I also have 2 of the 4 Rounder discs of "musical highlights". Great to have it all for $20.

Well, I am not a fan of mp3s but I started a new thread to trumpet a great deal. No one has reacted but I think some folks should be interested. Amazon is offering the complete Morton Library of Congress stuff (Rounder set) for $20. The mp3s sound better than earlier issues.

First heard Lynch with Horace. The music was well after the "sell by" date and he was impressive since Horace is timeless.

I have always found his "stuff" to be angled for the best sentimental story and never took the work seriously as "documentary".

About 30 year old face of jazz and it hasn't changed. All should check the portrait in the attic. Onion be rite.
