  1. A set called "Crips Collected" might be a money maker. Pics of Serge in a wheelchair and Arnett on crutches should seal the deal.
  2. Concerning the Morton - Jelly tells you all you really need to know. If you want books and pictures, look elsewhere. About 8 hours of pitch corrected Jelly. If you don't have the Rounder box and don't want to pay about $150 for the set, the download is wonderful. I had the Riverside lp versions of the Circle lps and the Riverside "all music" lps. I also have 2 of the 4 Rounder discs of "musical highlights". Great to have it all for $20.
  3. Doesn't look like the Cubs are going to win the Series.
  4. Well, I am not a fan of mp3s but I started a new thread to trumpet a great deal. No one has reacted but I think some folks should be interested. Amazon is offering the complete Morton Library of Congress stuff (Rounder set) for $20. The mp3s sound better than earlier issues.
  5. First heard Lynch with Horace. The music was well after the "sell by" date and he was impressive since Horace is timeless.
  6. Jelly Roll Morton - Complete LOC Recordings (Rounder) for $19.98 here.
  7. I almost closed this thread with a "Father" post. Thank me later.
  8. I should say I bought a Danish lp of this concert around 1961 and still wonder what all the fuss was about. Decent concert, north of the border.
  9. So that is how history is created.
  10. and...
  11. Conway Twitty Jeff Conaway Tommy Jefferson
  12. The scene is meant to reflect the French Resistance - Nica's old group. The guy in the chair is supposed to be a Nazi too.
  13. Don't have a clue.
  14. Geez! How much whoring of the original masters will EMI allow before the tapes are ruined?
  15. Around 1962 a federal tax was cancelled and all the .98 prices dropped to .79 for lps.
  16. Not for me with the latest Firefox.
  17. I think the topic needs the new airing.
  18. I have always found his "stuff" to be angled for the best sentimental story and never took the work seriously as "documentary".
  19. About 30 year old face of jazz and it hasn't changed. All should check the portrait in the attic. Onion be rite.
  20. Not sure about the pricing but for regular stuff I use Sleeve City
