  1. Check out the Apple site. They have a tutorial about moving stuff from a PC. It is worth buying Office for Mac to deal with some documents. I went through this a couple of years ago and have no regrets.
  2. Too bad they didn't include 8-tracks.
  3. Too bad you deleted the rest - I thought it was "on the money". "Happy Moods" was my first Jamal too. I was in high school and got it from the Columbia Record Club.
  4. The Columbia Bessie Smith set (not boxed) was the first non classical program I can recall. Complete boxes were relatively common for classical music in the late lp era.
  5. THAT should be your new sig line.
  6. Exactly the right amount. I was going to say all of them.
  7. and it was printed on gold paper stock.
  8. That train was derailed before it left the station.
  9. The only gold trident label I ever had/saw was a reissue of Saxophone Colossus from around 1963.
  10. That's what I'm talkin' 'bout.
  11. Not sure it adds up.
  12. Hey Free, despite your avatar, why not the other one? I must say I agree with the choice but....
  13. Sorry to be late to the game but Friday night Ann and I went to hear Steve Swell and Mikolaj Traska at Hugo's place in Grand Rapids. Steve is always very fine and Traska is a new discovery for me - a strong alto player from Poland.
  14. I was about to make a similar post.
  15. Looks real. Never saw one though.
  16. Worth remembering.
  17. From the thread title, I was sure it was Chewy.
  18. I find him very interesting but I wouldn't say I'm a fan. I have 23 cds and a few lps remain. I think he hired a lot of talented people and appreciate them.
  19. Nor does Bruyninckx.
  20. What Marcello said. Thanks.
  21. Another Hasaan recording exists in the Atlantic vaults. The masters were destroyed in the Atlantic warehouse fire but a good copy (at 7.5 ips) survives. It is a quartet with Odean Pope, Art Davis and Khalil Madi.
  22. I've purchased a few from them with no problems.
  23. Why not record and release something new on Nessa? I'm sure Chuck would be very happy to do just that if you sent him a few thousand $$$... I don't think Chuck will be very happy ever, with anything, but maybe as he and his company concentrate on nothing but re-issues, at the moment anyway, he should refrain from commenting when people choose to spend their time and money on other re-issues. I am frequently disappointed, but usually happy - just ask people who know me. My last issue was not a reissue. I am currently working on 2 new titles, not reissues. I am also working on 4 reissues. I feel if I record something, I owe it to the artists to make the material available (so they can make some money and get recognition) as best I can.
