Wasn't the format CDs really replaced the cassette tape (i.e., the "portable" music market)?
It was originally marketed as an audiophille product. The portability came later.

Used to have the Parlophone lps. Outstanding music. I have been meaning (for a couple of years) to pick this disc up since I only have a few tracks here and there.
