I have read this thread from the start. I think there are legit complaints about the reps of the folks you mention and am willing to debate but think you are too "confrontational" to be a worthy adversary. I have insisted on including all of Sid's comment to show him for "what he is" and to give context to the era. Do you really want to edit history? You seem to be trying hard for some sort of "jerk" award.

Compared to my tastes, you seem to be all over the place. No pattern beyond your "attack". FWIW, I don't think it is very well informed nomatter my agreements. It seems you are looking for a fight.

When I was starting at Delmark AB was in the army. When he returned I included him on the first Muhal Richard Abrams date - I quit my job before the first session but set it up. Though Koester and I were "enemies" at the time of the session, Muhal insisted I be a "guest" in the studio for the date. Delmark then signed a contract with Braxton and he recorded for them 'til he left for France (and beyond, since he and Jarman sent back tapes for their duo date). Anthony did play on a couple of Roscoe's sessions for me but that's it so far. Last time I spoke to Anthony on the phone (while I was doing the For Alto reissue in 2000) he said "Hey, when am I going to get to do a Nessa?". I hope to have the opportunity.

I first encountered him in the late '60s, Chicago, AACM atmosphere. He was a big man with a good sound, solid conception and a big heart. He spent the next 30+ years demonstrating these qualities to the world. We are thankful.

Kinda harsh Jazzbo. He's looking for a deal from an unhappy customer. Not a bad thing. I would not like to think about one of my customers "stuck" with something they did not like.

Since ballads were his "specialty" the classic sides collections feature these. I suggest looking for later stuff like the Black Lion discs. OTOH, the early stuff is better than dandy. Byas was a mofo.

Not a "sophisticated" call, but my current cheap, summer beverage is the "counterfeit" Fosters (brewed in Canadia). It is very refreshing on a hot day and available around here for about $8.50 for a 12 pack. Don't know about the distribution - could not find it in MO or IA this summer.

I'd suggest one of her earlier recordings. Did she do it 3 times? She became "mannered" in later years.
