  1. In 1991 Musidisc issued a cd version of the America lps.
  2. It was published in 1998. As jlh says the AEC sells it HERE. Sometimes Dusty Groove has it too.
  3. Styx??? I keep confusing them with Bread.
  4. John Lindberg Haunt of the Unresolved w/Marty Ehrlich and Hugh Ragin.
  5. For me all Organissimo gigs (or nongigs) are the forum in 3-D. Delighted to have Al join the party.
  6. No. But you can and should tell them "Sprinkle THIS".
  7. And then you can be part of the movement to cut off Arizona's water.
  8. Not the first (or last) time Bernie bummed someone out!
  9. you may put your finger in a dike... That's cool. B) ALL THAT EFFORT AND NO REWARD!!!! Forgive the shout.
  10. In my eyes, they have grown taller in the last couple of years AND Americans have become smaller (maybe they weigh more, but...). On the other hand, I can't forget the image of a Dutch male with his finger in a dike! What were they thinkin?
  11. Scanning the BN discography reveals no logical suspects. A possibility is a compilation from the material (then) unreissued 10" series. The last of these compilations was Lou Donaldson's Quartet/Quintet/Sextet (1537). Artists with enough unreissued material include Julius Watkins, Elmo Hope and Gil Melle.
  12. FWIW Colpix 438 Zoot Sims - Oct 62 446 Jimmy Rushing - Jan 63 456 Randy Weston - April 63 476 Chet Baker - May 64 478 Art Blakey
  13. The Stash cd is a combination of two Carter lps - one is with Konitz and the other is with Farmer. They do not play together.
  14. I think Joe was Empathy. Guess I'm a stoneage member.
  15. Yes indeed! I just got home and was listening to Roscoe, Wadada and Braxton on Lazaro's show.
  16. The program was called Look Up and Live. The show taped Lennie's group at the Half Note and broadcast it. No overt religious message. The material has been on several labels over the years. They play Background Music, 317 E 32nd and Subconscious-Lee.
  17. A little time spent HERE will answer this question.
  18. Looks like I'll be coming with Upright, the Skidster and friend. I promise to take a shower tomorrow.
  19. TEHO - to each his own. I think this depends on the size of your collection and your appreciation of the music. I'd say if you don't have around 3000 cds, live with what you have and buy some new music.
  20. I first heard his music about 30 years ago, had lp recordings and they went away in my big vinyl purge of the '90s.
  21. Jim, are old jeans and sandals ok at this place? Don't want to be a sore thumb in GR. B)
  22. I don't have any real problems with Woody's vocals, though some are now in questionable taste (racist). I just think the best music is on the disc I mentioned and the box is a bunch of bucks.
  23. Funny you should mention that. I was always intrigued by the takes of Big Stuff from the same set.
