In my eyes, they have grown taller in the last couple of years AND Americans have become smaller (maybe they weigh more, but...).
On the other hand, I can't forget the image of a Dutch male with his finger in a dike! What were they thinkin?
Scanning the BN discography reveals no logical suspects. A possibility is a compilation from the material (then) unreissued 10" series. The last of these compilations was Lou Donaldson's Quartet/Quintet/Sextet (1537). Artists with enough unreissued material include Julius Watkins, Elmo Hope and Gil Melle.
The program was called Look Up and Live. The show taped Lennie's group at the Half Note and broadcast it. No overt religious message. The material has been on several labels over the years. They play Background Music, 317 E 32nd and Subconscious-Lee.
TEHO - to each his own. I think this depends on the size of your collection and your appreciation of the music. I'd say if you don't have around 3000 cds, live with what you have and buy some new music.
I don't have any real problems with Woody's vocals, though some are now in questionable taste (racist).
I just think the best music is on the disc I mentioned and the box is a bunch of bucks.
