  1. Glows In The Dark has dl's available at glowingrealm.com, as well as interviews with some well known musicians.
  2. I love that cover
  3. Let's face it, he only released 4 albums during his lifetime. Everything else is a collection of one sort or another based on speculation or some producer's imagination. Of course! Hey, I'll take what I can get. Somehow Jimi can't be overplayed around here.
  4. I bought one for travel three or four years ago. I've use it a dozen times, mostly hanging from a tent at the beach. How are yall using yours? At home, if I really needed to use my iPod, I'd just plug it into a receiver.
  5. Yeah, I like it, but it feels like Voodoo Soup, New Rays, South Saturn in that it does not feel like an album to me. I like this version of "Red House", but I have been listening to the version on BLUES for so many years. THAT version, to me, is the definitive version. This one is taking some time for me to get used to!
  6. If I have a new album, I almost immediately sit down and listen to it with undivided attention. Other than that, I am usually doing other things while listening. Music is on more often than not at our house.
  7. My friend John. My friend Jason too.
  8. I just worry whether or not it is art.
  9. Certainly a low point in this guy's day.
  10. I never really thought of it as collecting. Ever since I realized how much jazz and improvised music did for me, I've been on a constant search for something new, or something different. This seems more and more difficult to find now than it did in the first few years of discovery. I can only imagine how difficult it has become for many of you who have been exploring for so much longer than me. Buying a new stereo amplifier has been a very revealing experience. I find myself pulling out my favorite albums and listening to them with a new ear. The other albums just sit on the shelf, as they have for most of the time that I've owned them. May be time to start weeding.
  11. Chuck I like this idea. What was the concept, from your perspective? I'm imagining standards approached similar to the Marsh/Mitchell duets? The idea was for Warne to play whatever he wanted. that makes good sense.

  13. Wow! This is great news! I was fortunate enough to hear Sam Rivers play about ten years ago. He shattered expectations. I drove six hours to hear him.
  14. it isn't braille.
  15. Kenneth Williams was one of the great British comedians of the sixties/seventies - the only one who was in EVERY Carry-on film. And the Decca series "The world of" ran for hundreds of albums, including many classical reissues under the generic title "The world of the great classics". So it WAS a big fucking deal! MG This is not the first time I have screwed up with album covers of British artists. I need to research these artists before I post. evils of the weed
  16. People prefer distortion.
  17. I haven't seen him in about ten years now, but he was very much alive when I met him and heard him play. Made me feel like I was not living anywhere near my full potential.
  18. Im not sure I've ever gotten a facebook related email, except to confirm membership. You need to change your settings Chris. This doesn't sound right. I'm pretty sure that I could disappear for months and only folks that HAVE my email address could contact me.
