  1. Just found Herb Pomeroy Jazz In A Stable LP (Transition TRLP-1) reissued on CD by Fresh Sound. It is available at Amazon.com. This is an extremely rare LP, selling for hundreds on eBay.
  2. Check-out the TEAC LP-R400 Turntable. This a stand-alone LP to CD converter unit. It has a manual track advance feature which is necessary when recording LPs to CD. The unit will also record from radio. The cost is around $300 but is well worth it if you have a lot of LPs that you want to transfer to CD.
  3. I also, love the "Lucky Strikes" album. Like Zoot and Gerry Mulligan, he sounds like himself, but higher, on the soprano, with no trace of Trane influence.
  4. If you LP fans care about CDs- the mentioned Tampa TP-16 side B has been reissued on VSOP CD #14/15 (Moods In Jazz and Reflections In Jazz) and side A on VSOP CD #34/22 (The Oscar Moore Quartet). The 2 CDs also have other pieces, if fact #34/22 has 16 pieces with the Great Carl Perkins!
