  1. How many versions of Soul Station does one need?
  2. Case closed? Wiki mentions that Chambers played baritone sax in a high school band sometime between 1952 and 1955. Since he was playing bass with Miles from 1955-1963, I have my doubts that he played the big horn in a pick up band. Regardless, thank you for sharing the info about your father and grandfather. The stories they must have shared with you!
  3. If you would provide us with your father's name and some idea of when the photo was taken, we might be more able to help.
  4. Did any of you actually watch the video I posted? I only ask because I found the peoples' reactions to be very funny and quite entertaining.
  5. I call them "Charbucks" because they over-roast everything. I like my beans dark and oily. Peets is my favorite place to buy them.

Terms I think the families of George Floyd, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, etc. would object to.
  7. Hysterical, and well worth watching the whole thing.

  11. I wish you the same. I also wish Tommy Flanagan were still with us, but that's another matter.
  12. Octopuses Punch Fish, Sometimes For No Apparent Reason What have eight legs, hunt among a group of fish and can throw a mean sucker punch? According to research published in Ecology last week, the answer would be octopuses (yes, octopuses, not octopi—we asked). Octopuses punch fish. Deliberately. Sometimes there's a reason, but other times, there's no discernible excuse. Researchers caught this behavior on video. The first time researcher Eduardo Sampaio witnessed this phenomenon, he laughed. Normally that'd be fine but at the time he was underwater wearing scuba equipment. "I almost choked on my regulator" ... NPR article

  20. As the brief news story states, "The deal means that more than 600 of Dylan's copyrighted songs written over nearly 60 years — "from 1962's cultural milestone 'Blowin' In The Wind' to this year's epic 'Murder Most Foul,'" the press release said — are now owned by the media giant."
