  1. That concert was produced by Bob Reisner, who authored "Bird: The Legend Of Charlie Parker" in 1962.
  2. If memory serves, StereoJack used to open his late night radio program with Stolen Moments. I love the tune.
  3. Yes, it is. I made the cover myself.

  5. Where does it say it's pitch-corrected?
  6. Thanks, Kev.
  7. Would someone please provide a link to a reputable source for this sad news?
  8. I believe Spotify has all of the SteepleChase titles. Listen and enjoy.
  9. Thanks for the heads up. I wish Bob Rockwell would record another album for SteepleChase.
  10. Can an artist be "unsung" and "legendary"?
  11. Out of respect, we don't openly question other members' sales. If you want to be helpful, PM them instead.
  12. That's certainly the way Wilner's message reads. But in an article published yesterday in the Jewish Insider, he says the following: Wilner isn’t optimistic that live entertainment in New York will return to normal any time soon — if at all. “I doubt we’ll ever get 100% capacity again,” he told JI. “We’ll be lucky to get 50%.” Ever? “I mean, all I can say is in comparison to what we used to have as to now,” he elaborated. “I can tell you that, right now, there are musicians who won’t set foot in the place, that we get hostile Facebook comments and stuff from people who don’t want to see us open. So it might not just be a "someone" who has an agenda.

  14. Filly Joe Jones?
  15. Congratulations. I used Audacity to narrow the stereo width on Booker Little's eponymous album on Time Records. Quite happy with the results.
  16. Not necessarily. From the Washington Post, "The European Medicines Agency said it was investigating [reported cases of blood clots], but noted there was no indication of a connection to the vaccine. The company [AstraZeneca] said on March 14 that the number of cases -- 37 out of 17 million shots administered -- was lower than what would be expected to occur naturally in a general population of that size. It also said that participants getting the vaccine in studies had fewer clots than those given placebo."
  17. Well it ain't for the toaster, is it?
  18. Congrats Jim! I'm getting my first shot on Wednesday. So, will you be attending a "mask off" party?
  19. and the soprano sax is not far behind.
  20. No excuse needed. I'd gladly take it off your hands if I wasn't an ungrateful colonist.
  21. I listened closely to my 1995 Xanadu reissue XCD 1229. I believe what you're hearing as "pops & clicks" is the sound of Butler's sticks occasionally hitting each other and sometimes the rim. There's a "woody" quality to the sound that makes me think it's not damage to the tape, but the result of how the drums are miked.
