  1. I don't think I knew about that and I'm a big fan of the Phillips. Edit to add: now ordered!
  2. Also, looks a lot better. Thanks for sorting out the upgrade
  3. Joe McPhee & Tomeka Reid - Let Our Rejoicing Rise [Corbett vs. Dempsey, 2022] Powerful
  4. I forgot them, damn. Which ones did you get?
  5. Tomeka Reid & Fred Lonberg-Holm - Eight Pieces For Two Cellos [Corbett vs. Dempsey, 2022] I knew this would be good with these two players, both long-term favourites on my favourite instrument, but it exceeds expectations. Outstanding Kept in the can for 9 years, wonder why?
  6. On the evidence of those YouTubes I'm definitely in for this one, that second cut is just too good to miss out on
  7. I received my very much delayed Harriott and Russell LPs from Jazz in Britain this week. Easily the most delayed order I have ever placed, 20 months! Not sure how JiB are doing generally but that sort of delay really isn't acceptable. They had all the excuses that other labels have experienced but none others have been delayed any more than 3 months. Makes me think they don't know what they're doing.
  8. It sounds good, I've not been disappointed by a TP yet I didn't know that, thanks for pointing it out
  9. That is a great album. My LP is a bit battered but the music shines through
  10. Terry Gibbs - El Nutto [Limelight, 1964 mono]
  11. Oh, I have a perfectly fine CD version too
  12. That's a cracking album so is this Tone Poet

  15. Charlie Mingus - A Modern Jazz Symposium Of Music And Poetry [New Land, UK 2022 RE] This reissue sounds really nice. Good presentation too That beer looks nice...and i know the album is
  16. That's a great album. Keep following felser's recommendations for more that good too
  17. And very good it is too
  18. Everything But The Girl - Eden Loved this in 1984 (!!) and love it now. Tracey Thorn announced yesterday that they have recorded a new album for release next year. I am more excited than I probably should be
  19. Anteloper - Pink Dolphins [International Anthem, 2022] such a great loss but music was left and we shall continue to appreciate it
  20. Just brilliant
  21. Liking it a lot more on this listen, probably my fourth or fifth but after a break. Hearing a lot more originality, variation and subtlety in her playing now. Just bought the Tzadik to see how that is
  22. Listening to 'In the Soviet Union' now and enjoying a lot, despite Jarrett overplaying at points. All power to the public library system, my introduction to lots of Jazz. I went on to work in public libraries for 16 years ending up being the music buyer - lots more Jazz
  23. Having read this, I'm going to listen to that album again today. It's been a while
  24. Zoh Amba - O Sun
