  1. I was checking yourmusic earlier today, and noticed that my queue has been gutted. I had about 20-25 items in there, and now there's only 4. Anybody else have this happen to them? I dunno if I should re-add what was taken out, or if it's a glitch they're going to fix.
  2. Emmitt Smith just now: "The strength of the Patriots team just got....debacled!"
  3. I agree, the stuff that happened that early didn't affect the outcome. The Patriots had a 4 point lead with 2:40 left in the game, and couldn't keep Eli Manning - ELI MANNING - out of the end zone. Giants deserved that win - total team win, nobody really seemed to stand out in my mind. And to answer Mr. Deeley's earlier comment, I'd have given the MVP to the entire Giant's defense - if that's not allowable, then maybe Tuck, or even Strahan - whoever put the most pressure on Brady on the night.
  4. I don't have a problem with the Giants in general, and don't mind them winning tonight (sorry, Conn). But I still don't like Eli Manning, never will after his prima-donna "I will never play for the Chargers" thing during the draft. I don't like the thought of him having a Super Bowl MVP to his name in the history books.
  5. It was messed up for me yesterday too. I changed the daylight savings time setting and it was ok after that. I don't know why it changed though, since DST doesn't change for a couple more months.
  6. Absolutely. Sometimes I think we all forget that, like them or not, whether or not we believe fair play is in action or not, they're just boards. Life is far more complicated and important, and jazzbo, I sure do hope that second bone marrow transplant yielded a positive outcome. Well, thanks for your wish. It didn't. This was an unrelated donor transplant with a one in three chance of success, a one in three chance of immediate disaster, and a one in three chance of chronic host vs graft disease and death within one to three years. What happened was a disaster. The donor cells attacked her lungs and did so much damage that she was unable to breathe on her own. On October 8 I lost her. The MDS won. . . I had been so convinced that we would beat the MDS as we had beaten (sort of I guess) the lymphoma. I miss her very much. I'm sorry, Lon. It has been obvious over the years how much you loved her, and how much she meant to you. I have no doubt that carried her through her battle as much as anything else.
  7. I don't know what ioffer dot com is nor do I care to know. Buzz off. Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Oops wrong place, sorry.
  8. If I were Ellen and I were forced to accept a different set of rules than all other posters (i.e., not being allowed to post in certain forums), I wouldn't go back. I don't think it's fair to have different rules for different posters.
  9. Chunnel time!!!
  10. This logic baffles me. If you have 400 people in a church wanting to watch a football game, it's ok for them to watch on 3 small tvs, but not one large tv? WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE? You still have 400 people watching the game in the same location. How can that "shrink" tv ratings? You have the same number of viewers in either circumstance. Stoopid.

  12. Thumbs-up for Shawn - he's a reliable, quick shipper.
  13. Received most of my BMG "sale" items today! By the way, if anyone is thinking about ordering the Miles Davis "Ascenseur pour l'echafaud" from BMG or yourmusic, it is a new (2007) issue, with only the original 10 tracks. Despite their listing of 26 tracks.
  14. A couple of names that haven't been mentioned I don't think: Franco Ambrosetti - trumpet - I like both of his "Movies" releases. I guess he's technically Swiss, so maybe he shouldn't count, but I think of him as Italian. Aldo Romano - drummer - A fine Ornette tribute album called "To Be Ornette To Be", with Paolo Fresu. And I think I've still got a Romano/Joe Lovano (does *he* count as Italian?) duo disc on Owl somewhere. Roberto Gatto - drummer; I've got one of his releases somewhere ("Ask", I think?), which John Scofield guested on. He's in Rava's band currently, I think.
  15. I'm sure it will warm Uncle Skid's heart to know that this is in TEXAS!
  16. Duke is playing some good ball right now, but they have one loss on their record - a 65-64 overtime loss to Pittsburgh, back in December.
  17. A&M beat their rival Texas tonight, 80-63. Was a fun game for me to watch! A&M still doesn't do that well on the road, but they're a pretty good home team. Hopefully they'll improve over the rest of the conference schedule. And Kansas State upset #2 Kansas tonight too! It was K State's first win against Kansas at home in 24 years I think they said. So they're down to one undefeated team left standing, the Memphis Tigers.
  18. She's an employee of Universal Music Group, Porcy. So every word she's saying is the standard cut-and-paste "hey check out this new artist my friend set me up with!" blah blah blah.
  19. THe original article acknowledges that it isn't a law per se, but it's not a myth. You *CAN* get transferred to another airline/flight at the ticket agent's discretion. It sounds like your attitude going into the discussion determines alot of the outcome. Be pleasant, and the agent may work it out for you.
  20. Because Flemish is one of the two main languages (along with French) in Belgium?
  21. If someone gave me that $70M gift, I think I'd sell it, buy something for half the price, and then buy a chalet in Grindelwald.... and still have $34.5M left over!
  22. Hey, we already gave you Dubya, Crazy Astronaut Lady, and Aggies! Isn't that enough??
