Aggies blew a 22 point lead to Texas Tech last night in the Big12 tourney. I think they'll still make it into the NCAA tourney, but that loss sure stung. I think once they got that large of a lead, they started looking ahead to the game vs. Missouri today. Unfortunately Mike Singletary scored a bazillion points in the 2nd half and single handedly won the game for Tech. Stupid Aggies.

I hope they'll re-energize themselves with yourmusic. I think it's doomed to a slow death if they don't start increasing their selection. I've got plenty in my queue there, but nothing that jumps out at me as must have stuff at the moment. Though part of that is due to all of the freebies that BMG has given us lately.

T.O.'s agent is saying the Cowboys are going to regret cutting Owens now. LOL. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have been picking up some non-splashy players during the off-season so far: ILB Keith Brooking DE Igor Olshansky QB Jon Kitna SS Gerald Sensabaugh I'd like to see them pick up another WR, as I'm not convinced Roy Williams plus whoever is currently pegged as the other starting WR (Crayton? Miles Austin?) is enough. I've seen Torry Holt's name floated, and Marvin Harrison's. Both could be good complementary players, though neither are young anymore.

Interesting that Portugal is only the 4th largest Portuguese speaking country. I assumed it would be 2nd, after Brazil.

I think this is Circuit City's last day or two of being open. Stopped by there on the way to somewhere else, and they had 90% off cds/dvds. But there was nothing really to pick from. I ended up with: George Duke - Faces in Reflection Clarke/Miller/Wooten - Thunder Ben Harper - Lifeline Allison Moorer - Mockingbird ...for a grand total of $5.20.

Just picked this one up recently, and digging it. What earlier albums of their's are worth checking out? They're also the house-band on the Jimmy Fallon show, which otherwise kinda sucks.

I'm not sure about the financial thing - they're taking a big hit on the salary cap. I think $9M? But they've done quite a bit of cutting of the bad eggs this off season - Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson, and now T.O. Plus they traded starting cornerback Anthony Henry to Detroit for backup QB John Kitna. Zach Thomas was let go, and it's looking like SS Roy Williams may be on his way out, too. They've got alot of holes to plug suddenly, and no 1st round draft pick, thanks to the overpaying for WR Roy Williams.

Texas is also having it's worst drought in 100 years. The article is correct for us locally - no rain to speak of since August of last year. We've officially had 0.17" of rain so far in 2009.
