  1. Conn's "i DislIke live Chatting with all of you cracKheadS corner"
  2. Do you have this one already, Joe? If so, how do you like it?
  3. Chris - I believe Open Office, which is freeware, allows you to save files in Word format, and I think there is Open Office for the Mac. I don't know if Works can read Word documents though (?), or if there's a way to convert them. I'm sure one of the more computer literate people on the board could answer this. Might be worth checking out, and might save you the trouble of having an additional operating system that you don't want/like.
  4. What's also funny is that I was in Waterloo on Friday afternoon, and I think Buzz might have been, too. But I was only there from 3:37 to 3:52, so you may have missed me.
  5. How were the shows, Mike? I would have loved to have been there - I was in Austin on Friday, but had family commitments.
  6. A&M is out of it's league, I think. I thought they might have been better than they actually are, but playing a #1 seriously exposes their game. They can't even take advantage of the 7 footer being on the bench for UConn. It would help if they could play defense, too. Allowing 51 points in a half to anyone is pretty poor.
  7. A few goodies at Waterloo yesterday: Jon Hassell - Surgeon of the Nightsky Jon Hassell/Brian Eno - Possible Musics Mick Karn - Titles Masada - Sanhedrin Marc Ribot - Rootless Cosmopolitans Wadada Leo Smith - Procession of the Great Ancestry David Sylvian - Blemish
  8. Don't forget Metallica at Stubb's tomorrow night - though I'm sure that one's not free LOL. Maybe you'll run into BFrank somewhere too.
  9. I imagine the drag from the trombone would prevent you from driving faster than the speed limit anyway.
  10. I think I set mine up, we'll see! I'm sure I'll end up low man on the totem pole though.
  11. No kidding! I think Ausmus was catching for Mike Scott & Nolan Ryan back in the 80's! Well, no. But in defense of the aging Ivy leaguer, in his first AB this spring, he doubled. In his second at bat, he singled and stole second off Geovanny Soto. He's going to make a solid back up for Russell Martin. I have a baseball that i got signed by Scott, Ryan, and catcher Alan Ashby (and a slew of teammates - Billy Hatcher, Glenn Davis, Bill Doran, Charlie Kerfeld, even Hal Lanier signed it for me), so I know he wasn't around back then - was just playin'. Unfortunately the ball was used and well worn, because I wasn't expecting to get down on the field that day.

  13. Congratulations! She'll be the best thing that's ever happened to you. Plus, she has an attitude already - mooning you!
  14. Astros have signed Pudge Rodriguez, apparently. Good or bad move? I'm not up on Pudge.
  15. Kurt Lundvall's mastering credits, according to AMG.
  16. Happy Birthday!!
  17. If it makes you feel any better, I don't believe that's a gray market disc at all. If it's the Spanish Time-Life issue, it was a legitimate release in Spain. The only thing is that it was intended only for the Spanish market, so the fact that it got out elsewhere was an issue I believe. There are still copies of some of these blue-tinted BN's at my local Half Price Books.
  18. In addition to being Pi Day - nerds apparently celebrate that it's 3/14, at 1:59 (3.14159...), it's a great holiday for guys! Check this out - March 14th.
  19. Browns receiver Donte Stallworth hit and killed a pedestrian while driving his Bentley this morning. They took a mandatory blood sample, and it appears he may have been DUI. Not looking good for him.
  20. Cool, so there's nothing to prevent me from watching them 24/7!
  21. I don't imagine they're very common. Although, for every year except leap years, the days in March always are the same as the days in February, since Feb has 28 days. So any time there's a Friday the 13th in February, there will usually be a Friday the 13th in March too.
  22. Bill Frisell is playing the Continental Club in Austin this Sunday and Monday, 3/15 & 16. Appears to be duets with Greg Leisz.
