  1. It's a decent record but, for me, it's no more than that. Also, like you said, it has already been issued on CD albeit in Japan and I'm afraid that it's not one that I would buy again. I'm sure that Ace must have something more deserving of a reissue by you, Jonathan.
  2. looks like he went somewhere else~ Ah well....... you get some .....and....you lose some.
  3. Nice looking set...thanks for the heads-up.
  4. For what it's worth the timing on my Japanese Impulse CD for "Memories of J.W. Coltrane" is 12:51.
  5. Sold my vinyl copies of 'Rufus', 'Mohawk' & 'The New York Contemporary Five' (all Dutch pressings) when I found CD copies of each in a record shop in Manchester. I've always loved this albums and still play them regularly.....the CD versions, that is.
  6. Wow...that was good find. Which shop was that if you don't mind me asking?
  7. Unfortunately the two I'm interested in are only available in vinyl...ah, well.
  8. An excellent explanation of the problem........ ....but what's the answer?
  9. These two on Delmark are well worth hearing:
  10. I've just noticed this on the Acrobat Music website: http://www.acrobatmusic.net/?cid=5&AlbumId=863
  11. Chuck, do you have a date in mind when this might be available?
  12. These are both excellent:
  13. ...strawberry and blackcurrant jams?
  14. Sad....I hadn't realised he was that old. I really like his playing on the few recordings I have by him.
  15. I already have the two CBS Realm CDs, but for anyone who doesn't have them..........these are both absolutely "MUST-HAVES".
  16. Is there a list somewhere of what's available in Japan?
  17. I found it impossible to calculate what I would be charged for shipping, so........no order.
  18. By chance there was a drama about 'The Ypres Times' on the TV last week - the start of the deluge of WWI programmes we can expect over the next few years. .....nice review in today's Observer. My order's in.....
  19. Too much power for me sometimes.
  20. Whew.......payment on it's way. Thanks so much for keeping the show on the road, Jim.
  21. Bump..... Does anyone have any news on whether there are going to be any further releases from the Horo catalogue? ...just asking.....
  22. from which original album? Curtain Call
  23. I've been playing this for a while now and I'm afraid I find it rather dissappointing. Although it has it's moments, particularly when Kenny and Mark Lockhart are playing, overall I find the vocals of the London Vocal Project far too overpowering and, dare I say it, not very interesting. Looking forward to "Six for Six" though.
  24. Great pictures....thanks fore sharing them. I'm GREEN................with envy! I wonder when we'll ever see that line-up again.....
