  1. I presume this is the budget release referred to above...or is it? It looks like a straight copy of the Storyville 2xCD but with a slightly different track order. BTW the Storyville album is still widely available and isn't that expensive....and it has picture of Stan on the cover!
  2. Saw him last year at Ronnie Scott's Club. He was excellent!
  3. Interesting interview.........thanks for posting the link, Colin. BTW does anyone know why Barry's album on Muse, "Another time/Another place" has never been re-issued on CD?
  4. Well.....I reckon having King Oliver and Bob James on the same label was too much even for Sony!

Yes, Candid Records have reissued all the Whynot releases on CD.
  6. Thanks, I'll keep my eye open for that one.
  7. Apart from "Breakthrough", which DustyGroove reissued a while back, has anything else by him ever been available on CD?

  11. Will the Pope admit he's a catholic?
  12. Funnily I've just had a problem with something I just ordered from them. When it arrived after about a week the CD was different to the booklet/tray. Standard apology and prompt refund but still......

Thanks for the heads-up King Ubu. Does anyone know a UK stockist for it?
  14. Not sure what constitutes a "masterpiece" but 'Alfie' has always been my favourite Rollins album......and I have A LOT of Rollins!
  15. They're both on my "To Buy" list as well.
  16. Might be worth e-mailing Hazel Miller at Ogun Records (ogunrecords@googlemail.com) to see whether she still has some copies in stock.
  17. Due out next February as a CD/LP/Download. Sounds very nice ........ and with Kenny not getting any younger......
  18. Anyone know who's playing the sax solo on this?
  19. I have the same problem in my living room...and my bedroom....and my bathroom.
  20. I agree with you about the sound of this, Bev. I wonder why Vocalion haven't picked this one up?
  21. This topic reminds me why CDs were invented
  22. Who's his mother?
  23. I've just had a notification from Gerard Terrones at Futura/Marge Records that this is available again, reissued in a digipack edition. If you like Mal Waldron and enjoy his live albums then this is "must have". You can listen to one of the tracks at the Futura/Marge website before making up your mind: http://futuramarge.free.fr/
