I heard live recently a Connie Crothers led group with Tabnik.
While the Tristano "influence" was certainly present, there was more rhythmic diversity.
The drummer was much freer, & overall the music was quite intriguing.

It's finished but not due out in the U.S. for 2-3 months (I think).
I believe Marc could be persuaded to send you a copy at the usual price he charges on the SharpNine
website. Mine was mailed on Friday.
I've also had problems with Airborne Express.
They "misdelivered" 2 Mosaic sets to who knows where. The address they say they delivered to doesn't exist.
At any rate they never turned up.
I now have Mosaic use UPS.
Mosaic replaced the 2 lost sets, & I believe collected from Airborne Express via the insurance they use.
Scattered Clouds is a very interesting CD recorded in 2000.
John Litweiler did the liner notes (a writer I admire).
Several months ago there was a guy on e-bay who had a bunch of sealed copies that he sold really cheap.
Think I paid $4 for mine.
Pepper Adams: Critics' Choice.
Has never been on CD to my knowledge.
It's a great session.
Adams, Lee Katzman (trpt.), Doug Watkins, Jimmy Rowles, Mel Lewis.
Anyone else know this session???
One more:
Pepper Adams: Critics Choice
Was on World Pacific or Pacific Jazz.
Adams, Lee Katzman (trpt.), Rowles, Doug Watkins, Mel Lewis ( I think that's all correct).
The Charlap (New York Trio) CDs on Venus are among the best piano trio CDs of the last several years.
Most are available at Cadence for $20 each which is not a bad price.
3 of the 4 CDs in my box set have the same sticky stuff on the playing surface.
I've called "customer service" at Columbia & supposedly someone is going to call me back.
Hopefully they'll replace the set, & I'll store the CDs differently.
