I'm on a Morris Levy trip as of two days ago. I don't remember seeing the Roulette stickers. What did they look like? Roulette distributed Mainstream records? I'm quite sure Shad knew Levy full well. I agree with John's of course, the packaging for those gatefold jackets was excellent, the cover photos were top notch printing quality, similar to the Horizon packaging. Seems strange to have put in so much into the packaging, not to invest in distribution. Never encountered the Fuller album, btw...

Trees and Grass and Things was a chance buy for me, and boy, did it pay off. A trippin' record! I like the packaging also, but I can see how it can be a pita to open and close without ripping it apart. The very few copies I've seen all were white label promos, probably for radio play. I guess it wasn't a big seller.

So the demise of the brick and mortar shops, and their replacement with the on-line shops really didn't open a window for increased number of sales for you? The formula is still the same, going through a distributor, waiting to get paid, etc.? How do you know how many copies of a particular title to print?

Thanks. All in all , nothing earth-shaking happened. Most of those deleted sets, save one or two, are available on eBay at reasonable prices, sometimes at original cost, sometimes just a few bucks more.

Where was Mosaic advertising in the pre-internet years? Downbeat, I'm sure. How about major record store chains? Any reasons why they didn't want to distribute product in the record stores?

Wonder Bread was a sad revelation when I first came to this country. It tasted like cotton. We don't generally buy big name baked goods, I prefer local bakery-made products..other then the Oreos, which my kids like. Bread is a killer, I've gained so much weight from it. I do love it though. Nothing like freshly-baked bread from a neighborhood bakery, some good local mortadella, mustard with seeds. I've got to drop 15 pounds. Not easy.
