  1. Just listening to this one this morning. Looks like someone has it for sale on Amazon for $499.99. Why hasn't this seen wider release in the US?
  2. more Abe on YouTube and
  3. Somewhere Over the Rainbow
  4. Love the look of that Koa!
  5. I am beginning to think that JSngry is a paid employee of Dusty Groove.
  6. I used to have this RCA LP at one point. I don't know what happened to it...
  7. Oh how I hate the comic sans font.
  8. Certain licences on the AM band stipulate that they go to low power at dusk to prevent interference from other, larger stations at night.
  9. With the past history of these things, you should buy two on speculation and one to listen to!
  10. Looks like a show from "Philharmonie", Berlin, West Germany, November 5, 1971. Also looks like I am gonna buy it!
  11. I dig the stuff with Buddy Emmons, steel guitarist extraordinare. The vocals are okay, but the playing burns! Minors Aloud and Swingin' on a Seven String are the ones I have heard.
  12. I once posted on a jazz BBS under a moniker other than my real name.
  13. TV audio is actually transmitted as frequency modulated [a.k.a. FM]. 87.7 FM is actually a TV frequency as well -- channel 6 to be exact! You probably had some bleed from that on 87.9 FM. More here.
  14. I have DJed under the moniker of DJ Indestructible. I even made a photocopy of my Art Blakey album of the same name, created a stencil, and made my very own shirt. Then similar shirts were made available commercially. [Not by me.]
  15. I thought The Fog of War was brilliant. McNamara is an engaging communicator. Grizzly Man, to me, was okay. I liked the soundtrack documentary that followed [starring Richard Thompson] better.
  16. My buddy just bought an M3 for $10, un-working.
  17. What would an M3 fetch for a price?
  18. Roni Size's output wasn't my cup of tea. When practiced by the masters of the genre [J Majik, LTJ Bukem, Dillinja] this was some magical polyrhythmic shit. I look at it like I view the world of Dub Reggae: some of it is genius, and others sound like a record with the interesting parts mixed all of the way out.
  19. I wait for sales like that to buy 2 & 3 disc sets.
  20. It's available on vinyl I think you know what I meant. Right. And I responded by saying it's available on vinyl, so it can be broken down into sides. So. Just to clarify. It is available on vinyl. Is it on vinyl? Double 10" vinyl, IIRC!
  21. Anything happening Sept 11-13th?

Let me chime in once again with my rec for the Sennheiser HD 202 set. Nice isolation, and sound. I am listening to Miles' Guenneviere on a pair as I type! I spend about 3-4 hours each day with these on my noggin. It is like they aren't even there.
  23. These are top notch - it is like having a little free-jazz radio station in my iPod.
