I did some extensive searches after downloading some 350 MB mp4 video files from archive.org. There are no free versions, to my knowledge. There are some as cheap as the $30 you mention, but that is about the cheapest you will find.

I am a huge John Fahey fan, and this is my favorite album he created. Snap it up, folks!
