I just received the LPR reissues of Yusef Lateef, Gato Barbieri, and Michael White, and I thought it strange that only the Lateef had the OBI and no BMG markings, whereas the Gato and White had no OBIs and BMG in the barcodes. The Albert Ayler that arrived earlier had the OBI and no BMG indications either. Gato's disc had no liner notes either. Is this the case with any of you's?

I do the same. I have spindles of discs people have showered me with. One or two spins, and then they go to the recycler. There is something nice about having the real deal. I have brought it up in the past, and I will bring it up here - what about promo-marked discs?

Could be. When I am doing any burning, the machine is hands-off until it is through.
