  1. And if Blue Note would release the Hodes material then it would almost be complete.
  2. My first impression was that it was electric.
  3. Make that 5 below. Or should I say, "Blow."
  4. Listened to this on my walk in to work today. It put a spring in my step regardless of the -4 degree weather! It does sound great. You can hear that studio.
  5. Gonna get down to about 5 again tonight. This weather makes me pissy.
  6. Frisell's East/West is coming to me for only $7.99!
  7. Sounds about like my bus driver this morning.
  8. I would have pegged this guy for it:
  9. Perhaps one of them will be so furious as to send me their copy of The Complete 1969 Fillmore Concerts 10 CD set, with bonus disc.
  10. I typed in The Stooges and they played the Moistboyz' "I Don't Give a Fuck Where the Eagle Flies."
  11. If they want to sell me a complete 1969 Fillmore Concerts 10 cd set, I would gladly shell out.
  12. I had mine for several years. Those backs are wide open. They will prevent your next door neighbors from hearing your sounds, but others in the same room as you will hear many things. I thought the sound of the SR60s was quite nice; however, they were the benchmark of high fidelity for me. I have had nothing further up the hi-fi headphone food chain.
  13. Anyone have an opinion on The Rogue Classic Spider Resonator? At $129, that seems to be a good deal.
  14. I imagine that much of their bandwidth was GD show downloads. There were WAY more Dead shows than anything else, and by far the most appealing band on that list. Glad I got some gems while I was able.
  15. Is this Hatology material similar to the Live at Greenwich Village 2cd Impulse! release from a few years back? I listened again to Spirits Rejoice, and seem to enjoy it a great deal more than the Greenwich set.
  16. I have always liked Stan's Joyride. Very apt title.
  17. My Grado SR-60s' cord died after a few month's worth of commuter use. They charged me $25 for a new one! Since they were open cans, there was no isolation from outside noise.
  18. I LOVE them. You will find few peers at that price level.
  19. My Blues in Orbit arrived, completely demolished. It was so bad, the post office shrink-wrapped the whole lot to keep the shards of jewel case from going all places.
  20. Eleven! ← That's it for the other one.
  21. If I buy one of these discs from BMG's yourmusic.com, can I exchange it? Hmm...

I saw Takemura on that tour as well. That whole in front of the laptop thing bothers me as well. Nice recordings, but I can stay home and drink cheaper.
  23. My review of this show finally on the WD45 BLOG.
  24. Another eBay update -- The last two Complete 1969 Fillmore boxes went for $610.00 and $735.10. That is, how shall I say it, out of my price range.
