  1. That dude who forked over all that cash for the boxes and that other guy who laid down $2,000 dollars for a monaural recording - I''d like to be in their wills.
  2. I just checked out AMG and they gave "People in Sorrow" a nice review likewise for "Live at Mandel Hall" and "Bap-tizum". Later releases got fewer stars does that concur with your opinion? I'd like your thoughts on the releases I mentioned. What other titles do they have of note on your label and Delmark.
  3. I would appreciate recommendations of Art Ensemble of Chicago music.
  4. Chris what era was he a part of the band?
  5. Good to have the rev back on the scene.I'll be very curious how this one plays out.
  6. A guy by the name of Chris Hills did it originally and Jim Pepper was a part of that recording.Later on Jim Pepper did it for one of his recordings and Chris Hills was a part of that I'd be curious to check out the Stenson version and see what he brings to the original.
  7. Juvenile, unprofessional and a fireable offense and that applies to both sides. The only way that he might have deserved to have his home phone given out is if he gave out the home phone of one of the Fox personnel. Other than that both CNN and FOX should get their asses out of the sandbox and grow up.
  8. Manual.
  9. Lisa Marie is definitely no Elvis but she apparently is not above capitalizing on his name.
  10. I agree with you on moving those threads Berigan but if one of those nearly naked women is like the one in your past avatars please give fair warning.
  11. On the "Night in San Francisco" cd Van plays sax on "Did Ye Get Healed".Reed duties were handled for the most part by Dulfer with other reed instrument(s)-(Oboe?)by Kate St. John.
  12. Shrdlu that is the first time I've ever heard of a cat getting zapped. I guess it was a case of youth and inexperience. Most cats that I've known of seem to have an attitude of respect towards skunks. I remember watching a skunk go right by a cat one night and the cat did not move and the skunk went about it's buisness. The skunk has few natural enemies for rather obvious reasons but the dog would like to assume that role for whatever reasons.Dogs often view skunks as something that must be treed, cornered and subdued and the results of such behavior aren't usually too hard to predict.
  13. Find out where the hackers live and send them one of Randissimo's skunks.Yeah that'll work.
  14. God I miss all the good shit.
  15. My first thought was to fire the dog and get a cat. Unfortunately most dogs don't get it and will repeat this annoying behavior in regards to le pew but in terms of antidote the tomato juice solution recommended by Ron F and others seems to work best like Ron I'm in an area where there are a lot of skunks and they can be a real pain if you have a pooch.Good luck and I hope you don't live in an area with a lot of porcupines. That's a whole different set of headaches.
  16. Dan when I refer to boxing as corrupt I'm not just referring to this fight but to boxing as a whole. Since I didn't see this fight it would hard for me say this paticular fight was rigged. The fight industry as a whole in it's history and especially in it's history in our lifetimes has been riddled with corruption maybe not in this fight but boxing and corruption are not strangers to one another but I'm not going to say the fix is on in every fight that simply isn't true but boxing, corrupt fight politics and criminal behavior have crossed paths more than once. At one time I was a boxing enthusiast but the chicanery that has been used by the overload of boxing associations turned me off personally. The time I was really interested in boxing was the time Alexis Arguello reigned supreme. Alexis took titles from Ruben Olivarez(no relation as far as I know),Alfredo Escealara and James Watt in either their home towns or home countries or both now THATs impressive. I agree with you though that in his fights with Pryor that Aaron was the better man but after those wars neither was the same afterwards.Another reason I really don't care for boxing anymore.
  17. The ESPN guys who were at ringside thought that the decision was correct. Personally I don't care. Boxing has been consistently the most corrupt "sport" and I really don't think much has changed. It will be interesting however to see if Oscar follows through with his threatend legal action.
  18. After a less than positive experience with the 4 cd "Bitches Brew" I think I'll pass on this but the shorter remastered version sounds interesting.
  19. A lot of his work was unfortunately consigned to the elevator but that shouldn't diminish his work at all and at least on this board that doesn't seem to be the case.Peter Gunn is my favorite but Mr Lucky is tops too.
  20. Do that many people live vicariously through these people. If the answer is yes that to put it mildly is truly disturbing.
  21. It's hyperbole.
  22. I had forgotten about the Sons of Champlin and I can't believe it because I used to play the fuck out of their first album.Time to research them on the net.Adios.
  23. Vive la difference.
  24. Johnny Cash's honesty about himself was reflected in his music. The profound honesty and emotion in his music transcended musical genres without breaking a sweat. It is stunning the number of people who don't like country music love Johnny. Hell I feel criminal even assigining the man a musical label just calling his music Johnny Cash's music seems more appropo. His legend will just grow. Hasta la vista JR.
