  1. I miss 32.
  2. Off with his head!!!!
  3. I don't know that much about Pepper though I'd like to get that big box set of his.Hell if you're going to get better acquainted why screw around. I idolize Rashaan the man was just unbelivable and I like Les but overall Rahsaan's work is what has held up over the years.
  4. If the Lakers get all four of those guys they will be awful tough to beat. We are talking about some rather large egos though and if there are personality conflicts that could create some problems. Personally i'm a Phoenix Suns fan and while I don't think this will be their year I don't think they're that far away. The Suns are young, talented and on the rise.
  5. Overall I think that Les is a tough but fair critic though I don't agree with him about Herbie. Didn't Les employ congas on t least some of his later records/
  6. Seriously underpaid. They were the bedrock of the Motown sound.
  7. Speaking about Russia the guy slept through the last of the Soviet Union.
  8. Probably not but he was entertaining.
  9. Working in the late morning and then I'm going home and hunkering down while everybody else goes loony.
  10. I'll have to dig out the cd he did with Santana.Another great loss.
  11. Tough choice but I went with Franklin because he was a genius and a rascal. You could make a case for any of these men warts and all.
  12. Is the music on the thing constantly changing or is it like one long annoying tape loop?
  13. He may have done some cheesy things but anyone who recorded extensively as Herbie was entitled to a couple of duds and the good far outweighed the bad. Herbie surrounded himself with great musicians-Dave Pike, Chick Corea,Attilla Zoeller,Sonny Sharrock,Roy Ayers,Willie Bobo and Patato Valdez are just a few that come to mind and Herbie was a damn find musician himself.I'm going to miss him a ton.
  14. I bet Bobby got his kicks on Route 66.
  15. Have Mercy! Have Mercy!
  16. Hollywood Math.Sequel= Cash Cow.
  17. That sounds like something FZ would do.He was really great but he could really get into that monologue mode.
  18. J Larsen you are probably handling this in the right way.Retaliation while understandable can bring about repercussions. It's been my experience that you generally don't have to deal with this kind of person for too long, usually this kind of situation takes care of itself. However if you think or know this is a long term situation(god forbid)then you might want to brush up on your diplomacy skills.
  19. Thanks for the heads up on Cachaito. B)
  20. I'll have to check it out.
  21. What style!!! Adios.
  22. Interesting, isn't it. How's the music? Haven't heard that one, but most of London's Libertys from this era (mid-50s-early 60s) are cool-jazzy/pop affairs. Nice, but nothing heavy (and vise versa) the covers, though are uniformly, uh, well, mmm, you know... Well uh! er! right on time perhaps?
  23. Duly noted Conn and I think you got it right the first time-terminal Doggie dumbness. .I bet mny doesn't stress about burgulars too much.
