  1. Welcome, grey. Good to have you hear! This place is so "homey"!!!
  2. I guess it wouldn't do any good to send a CD for review to them, since they're editing out any mention of us from posts.
  3. Our Homepage I just put an Alexa counter at the bottom. We're ranked 387,604th out of all the websites in the WORLD! That's not bad, really. Well, considering www.hotmail.com is 19th I guess it's bad. And AAJ is like 11,186th. But hey, Tony Monaco's site is over 2,000,000th and Larry Goldings site is over 3,000,000th! This is the most popular organ trio site on the web!!!!
  4. Does he have the Turbanator with him and Peter Bernstein?
  5. After spending about $8k on my system, I've hung up my hat. I'll probably eventually upgrade my CD player, but the bug has died for the most part. I'd rather spend my money on instruments!
  6. What Neon does with his own board is his business. We can't tell him how to run it, who to accept as a member, moderator, or whatever. That was the thing that got this ball rolling in the first place. Musicboy wanted to tell me how to run my board. We shouldn't try the same tactics here. It's none of your business. If you don't like how the board is run, don't go there.
  7. Mine is McDuff. What else can I say? Before that, James Brown from the cover of "The Big Payback!" Need some gitback. Before that... uh... I don't recall.
  8. Good Lord. This kind of thing just makes me more sympathetic to file sharing.
  9. Is Johnny E on vacation? Jimmy Gee, nobody wants you to leave. I'm sorry if you have a bitter taste in your mouth, but sometimes we find things we don't like. There are a lot of people on this board with differing views of the world. You may not agree with any of them, but I guarantee you can learn something from them. Plus, the wealth of jazz information contained in these member's noggins is worth putting up with some shit!
  10. There was a joint in Detroit that Joe and I played once or twice that had the best BBQ chicken I've ever had. It went out of business... a sad sad day for organ groups and BBQ fans everywhere. I just grilled some brats yesterday. I love grilled brats. It's about the only thing I can grill, though. I have no idea how to do good BBQ.
  11. That is some wacky wacky shit. I'll have to check my CD sales from the internet and see if any are going to Indonesia to become $3 pirated CD copies being sold in the bazaar. Bill Heid playing in Indonesia?!?! Quartet Out and Organissimo should definately plan a tour! We'll take them by storm!
  12. Oo. That's good to know! I'm glad the problem is resolved.
  13. I have several friends with little ones that say they like the record. It makes me feel good that kids can enjoy the music too!
  14. For all those in northern Michigan, Organissimo will be participating in the World of Jazz Series this year at the end of June. We'll be performing with the wonderful Detroit singer Harvey Thompson and Randy's dad (all the way from California) Arno Marsh on tenor!!! You can check out the full schedule HERE.
  15. If you can find it on vinyl, I reccommend "Giants of the Organ In Concert" a double-LP on the Groove Merchant label. This is the record that turned me on to organ. It's got Groove with McGriff and it's FUNKY! The guitarists are out of their league, but both Jimmy and Groove play their assess off!
  16. That's a very lame attack, by the way. And I take offense that you used my Ben Wallace smiley after such a pitiful attempt. Don't do it again or I'll sick the Mr. T smiley on your ass!
  17. The Nets are playing very well. I think Detroit should've won those first two games (there were some atrocious calls against Detroit in those two) and if they had they probably would've won the series. But losing the first two at home... that's gotta be a confidence buster. Plus not having Billups at full strength hurt them bad. It would be nice if the Nets brought home the championship, but I think the Spurs (who will win the west series) will stomp them.
  18. Thank you everyone!!! I had a great day. My wife made me a beautiful cake and I got to practice with the boyz! I'm 26 years old for those who asked.
  19. I've decided not to pursue this unless I see the item re-listed again. He pulled it twice, so we'll see. And no, it wasn't Hammond related. It was a really beautiful Keilwerth-made 1960's era alto saxophone. I just sold my tenor and I'm really sorry I did, so I'm looking for an inexpensive replacement so I can keep learning my scales and fingerings until I get another tenor. I figured alto is the way to go since they are relatively cheap compared to tenors.
  20. Does anyone know how to report a suspect ebay seller? This guy has pulled and then reposted an item twice. This last time I was the high bidder and was minutes away from winning it when he pulled the item again stating that it wasn't for sale anymore. I'd like to report this activity to Ebay, since I think it is a clear violation of their selling policy. Can anyone help? I've searched the site but can't find anything. Thanks!
  21. That's pretty wild! John, are you a member of emusic? If so, maybe you could post a link to this website for the guy... or would that be spam?
  22. I actually really hope they go with Danko. Yeah he's big, but he has and inside/outside game. With him and Okur in the backcourt, the Pistons would be something else!
  23. Wow. The Pistons are got stomped by the Nets in NJ. They didn't play well, but I also have to say that the officiating was not very good. Chauncey got a T for saying "bullshit" and waving his arm once in the air during the first quarter. The rest of the Nets got away with acting like complete babies on every call without any T's. The only one they got was for Kenyon Martin's showboating after a dunk (a well deserved T). They should've gotten a lot more. And how many times can the Nets push Ben Wallace in the back before the officials call a foul? Good grief. Oh well. Number two pick in the draft ain't bad!
