  1. Just want to say that I've enjoyed reading this thread, and enjoyed the HELL outta the clips! Thanks!
  2. I still can't get over that thing, having seen mostly Hammonds and Leslies that were all beat up over the years. Even the stickers are immaculate!

  4. Weren't you having problems with that D'Angelico? I had an Explorer with EMGs in the late 80's/early 90's. Paint job was kind of ugly, but it played great.
  5. Harp guitars are cool, I think.
  6. You'd never get through the airport with that thing.
  7. Nice!
  8. novelty headphone stand? You could maybe put it up in a tree to scare off birds. I did that with an owl statue, but it would be cooler to have Cornelius up there.
  9. While there were some exciting moments, nice arrangements, and great solos, to me, the whole thing came off as some sort of a clinic. "Music about music"; at times intentionally and explicitly so. The players who meant the most to me were Miguel Zenon and Eric Harland. Both played beautifully when it was their turn to shine. But the music almost never got to that point of transcendant lift that I seek to experience when I go to concerts, sorry to say. What did you think, Mark?
  10. And you gots funky feet!

  11. I'm going to wait until after Mark has seen them before I post.
  12. Jeez Rod, you just pack up and leave at the first sign of trouble? What a fair weather friend!
  13. Yeah well, when has hits $5/gal. or so here, we'll be facing the same problem.
  14. organissimo relocation to Italy, 2010.
  15. Will be seeing them here tonight!
  16. Simply put, High Life has some GREAT tunnage.
  17. I think it was just over six when I was there in 2006. I remember getting gas just outside of Cortona and I guess it was full service because a guy came out with a gas hose leaking gas and smoking a cigarette and filled my tank. I went into pay and they had a full service bar/cafe and the bartender who was a six foot two Sophia Loren look a like wanted to know if I wanted a espresso or a shot of grappa. I love Italy. Are you making that sh!t up??
  18. Reminds me of the, um, in depth coverage from the local news when snowflakes were seen falling from the sky last time we were in Philly. It just went on and on, one reporter after another bundled up and coming to us live from the street, from the salt shed, etc., etc., etc...
  19. Spot shortages of food and fuel are a scary prospect. Mostly because people have a tendancy to go a bit unhinged at such times.
  20. It was under $3 for quite a while; now it's up to $3.45 all over town. I saw diesel going for $4.05. Yikes.
  21. FLIPPIN' TOM CRUISE!
  22. Here's to a life well-played.
  23. Didn't know my profile page was that interesting. Maybe I should check it out sometime!
