  1. no, it was an acrobatic exorcist!
  2. and that dog keeps getting beaten for just trying to clean up a little.
  3. or at the very least try his very best IMO - "Bermuda Blues". That swanky funk hooked me from the git go when 'You Know the #' came out. Mosaic would do itself good by tossing that up as a streaming sample. Appeal all over it. Then have some cookies.
  4. A good friend from back at American Greetings (the card company that once housed Crumb et moi) has an illustration blog with a nice tip to Flora. Samba For Rats
  5. I have always liked Doug Payne . Just good stuff and no "RAB"idshare files! altho he does link to some old vinyl rip sites. and JazzWax
  6. That 'O'o' is very nice - my recent favorite & right up there with the three MMW Radiolarians. While some melodies seem to fall in love with themselves after a couple minutes I think this is maybe the most cohesive of the Tzotica trifecta. Kenny Wolleson's vibes really hold it all together and Baptista is thankfully more tempered with the dog toys. And a beautiful package! Do check out Rob Burger's trio on the previous release 'Alhambra: Songs of Love' ... some have a nice B-side feel to the Gift, Dreamers, O'o thing.
  7. this is prolly best posted in the "Mosaic on Steroids" thread but, anyone buy the "Box of Vision"?
  8. and I'd keep something better than that AARP mag by the shttr. (grimace) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvNO0BfBecc
  9. A martin in it's natural habitat.
  10. i have done a lot of googling in the past as we have an abundance of fishers here. one was grooming itself in the road a few weeks back. the fact that they are arboreal, eviscerate their prey, scream like crazed babies and kill for fun makes me wonder why Marvel has never taken notice.
  11. fisher (do you know what it is?)
  12. PM mono not on Stereo: Only A Northern Song
 All Together Now Hey Bulldog
 It's All Too Much
PM stereo not on Mono: Ballad of John and Yoko Old Brown Shoe PM Mono on the Stereo: Love Me Do She Loves You I'll Get You You Know My Name (look up the #)
  13. You must be listening to the wrong people. RX: two minutes from 4:44
  14. Scrolling down the page, I think that the link to the other Chicago Tribune story ("Maniacs coming together to critique the Beatles reissues") contains far more interesting nuggets of info re: various songs. http://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainmen...obref=obnetwork and ta think we listened to them on one of these while playing "Rock Band" in the basement with badminton racquets.
  15. six years goes by and .... voodootube trunk knurt
  16. I don't think this is the same guy as his art from the above are more screen print variety, no? (did see some "pottery w/ tulips / zinneas" on a poster site tho but not like the covers) http://jonnygeeart.com/
  17. WTF are vibe soaked Audrey snappers??? dB
  18. Me too! Completely.....odd stuff! The soundtrack to Lost Highway was pretty good too. i think it's the genuine article which tarantino soundtracks try desperately to mimic I think 'LH' used some cues by Barry Adamson - bombastic organ driven schwank and vibe soaked Audrey snappers (i've been reading Dusty Groove). There are some fine gems amid some real junk in his discography ... tho I'm not wild about his speaksinging. explore Adamson And on a related note try to find the album called 'Murder, Inc' (it is on iTunes as a vinyl rip) by Irving Joseph ... crazy good from 1960.
  19. Yes that Maiden Voyage was my first real intro to his groove. A local station played Us3's "Cantaloupe" for years as it's intro and break source ... years ago i remember a shopper at a Borders was asking the clerk for the tune he "kept hearing all the time". I had to step in and let him know that it was a Brit revamp and that he had to get the real deal and showed him the Herbie and Freddie sections. R.I.P.
  20. Since you had two windows open at the same time could you hear Lou cutting (he is "green" with that push version) and more importantly could you smell that freshly mown lawn?
  21. seems the TRU THOUGHTS label is no longer on emusic. I dipped into their catalog quite frequently and had earmarked a whole lotta stuff for "later".
  22. I saw those but luckily the fingers were frozen from too much shoveling and sledding. please let us know how those are ... I believe you began a B V thread a few months back ... I've been wanting to get that "Blues For Gassman" title but it seems mostly unavailable.
  23. While looking at the DejaVu myspace I had a chance to sample this one having encountered some remixed cuts from it here and there - could be tossed on as some bonus revamp of the 61 Messengers. I now see dem bastidd$ have a new version from the east w/ this description: Japanese version features different mastering -- with a bit more of a "60s" feel! whaddya make of that?
