  1. phewww. thanks Claude!
  2. i did not realize that. i thought that if i searched from the box atop the page and pasted the url here that it linked automatically. oh well, looks like the 'O' missed a few cents from me.
  3. organissimno link - CDUniverse seems to have the best price. >here<
  4. I played the hell out of this double lp when I was a kid. Sure wish they'd re-issue it plus a few more gems on a couple CDs. side one "Twist and Shout" (Medley-Russell) "I Saw Her Standing There" "You Can't Do That" "I Wanna Be Your Man" "I Call Your Name" "Boys" (Dixon-Farrell) "Long Tall Sally" (Johnson/Penniman/Blackwell) side two "Rock and Roll Music" (Berry) "Slow Down" (Williams) Medley: "Kansas City/Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey" (Leiber/Stoller)/(Penniman) "Money (That's What I Want)" (Bradford/Gordy) "Bad Boy" (Williams) "Matchbox" (Perkins) "Roll Over Beethoven" (Berry) side three "Dizzy Miss Lizzie" (Williams) "Any Time At All" "Drive My Car" "Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby" (Perkins) "The Night Before" "I'm Down" "Revolution" side four "Back in the U.S.S.R." "Helter Skelter" "Taxman" (Harrison) "Got To Get You Into My Life" "Hey Bulldog" "Birthday" "Get Back"
  5. A Toast! "...Charmin' Fool..."
  6. speakin' of emusic I see Ji_'s buddy, Gilles Peterson, leads off his "America" comp with this guy.
  7. it'd be nice if the folks offering sales etc cleaned the house every now and then. delete threads that are defunct or out of date as that is the only forum where that is warranted and start a new one if you are offering again.
  8. any commentary on those J.J. Johnson soundtracks like "Cleopatra Jones", "Willie Dynamite" etc... i've only heard some snips here and there but curious if it's more than just wah wah and hi hats.
  9. they have these guys to thank!
  10. even some ringwear here too! looks to be a new photoshop filter.
  11. cover has that Jambo! meets old Lateef-iness going on.
  12. Viola!
  13. (is that a Pyle?) Sound Clips link
  14. I gather that during a locker room interview one of the Browns' players was attempting to console the media on how they suck this year: "... c'mon, half the teams in the NFL losted (sic) last weekend ..."
  15. re: iTunes 7 quirks spoke w/ an apple tech and was told that the issues folks are experiencing are due to third party plug-ins and that it has nothing to do w/ the upgrade. "if you bought a new machine with it installed it would work perfectly". huh? kind of like replacing tires on the car but finding that that phantom bent rim that rode so smoothly with the old out of round wheels is now causing the wobble w/ the new factory issued set. so it looks like i need to go and get under the hood ... which i don't do well.
  16. big harrumphs to that one! (is that nathan from the ol' BNBB?)
  17. oh man i tested that disc out over on emusic. that tzadik catalogue is getting so unweildly that who knows what will pop up.
  18. Why does clem "HATE springsteen so much"? seriously.
  19. i do hope this is not offensive, but, one i recall from a dive back in Akron was: "there were black people in the store absorbing all the light so we thought it was closed"
  20. new meaning tto "A Shot in the Dark"!
  21. well i just attempted a burn of a playlist. got a "write medium (WTF!?) error" as the disc was spit out before completed. roller coaster - hold the roller. faaahk!
  22. thanks for the tip off Rod. i DID download 7 on my mac when prompted and have not had any probs - x fingers - aside from the fact that i don't like the new grey squares next to selected songs (less contrast in the new skin that does not apply with fiddling on the system prefs - looks more like a computer now so it must be to keep the PCers feeling comfy). seems most of the new stuff is all about the movies as the prefs have not shown any new features like: make a CD from a bunch of disparate sources not sound like a sonic rollercoaster. i do see however that most of the folks in the second link you provided are running windows? wonder if this whole conjoing with the dark side might be raising some ugly warts in the near future - now Jobs' gurus with big heads will have to fit them inside narrow windows.
  23. still too late for , ey...
