  1. thanks very much JimR. i scoured for a while thinking that maybe the "O" made this a different group, which in a way it did. found various hints but did not check HMV ... never ordered there either so i will wait it out. don't believe i have heard anything from this group's trio members in the past so a grail it will be. fantastic in the two cuts i did hear and the crackling epitome of your hard bossa sound!
  2. ah shit, is all i have to say (as i spit scalding coffee on my acorns) ... you guys are killing me this morning!
  3. JimR ... just listening to a "surreptitious" blog comp w/ Trio 3D doing "Consolacao" and O Trio 3D doing "Tamanco n Samba"... both just kicking major butt floss. finding nothing much on the googling so I'll defer ... please.
  4. not to hijack but can i be there right now!?
  5. I love her voice much but that Suba is light years beyond BG in interest as far as a solid platter is concerned. I had picked up those two Bebel's when they came out respectively and the second was quite a yawner esp after hearing her on an Arto Lindsay/Towa Tei thing long ago. Cibelle, who voxes on Suba, was a good start but tiresome in short time. Her new one seems very very laid back from samplings. Recently "got the wife" that new Rosalia DeSouza as she reminded me of a smoother voiced Marisa Monte (who's early stuff is all good). And I sure wish Lillian Vieria from that Zuco 103 group would do something great - she seems like a lot of fun! All that Six Degrees catalogue is at Emusic.
  6. this one's playing that rikkileenorahjones jones but quite nicley IMO.
  7. Shipp vs AntiPop Consortium tipped "All Blues" not badly a few years ago (save for some silly rapping ).
  8. I'm Chris Webber too, Agg. He must not be very good. no ... i'm Chris Webber! now from the same site - which goalie are you?
  9. re: "Anyone able to log on to Emusic....." yes
  10. "Don't Fall of The Bridge" - nine minutes of double caffeinated heaven. boy was I excited when I first saw the topic. one can only hope that the lull in the Brititsh re-issues means there is a deluge on the way.
  11. Hard to Jan with LockJaw
  12. one of the best of them covers!!! the 'typing' on "Right Now!" is up there too!
  13. just one guess allowed? Joe Henderson
  14. had melon in Portugal that was soaked in some liquor called Medronho ... wooof ... that'll screw you up big time!
  15. Mom salts as I recall, bananas too!? Grandpa used to salt his beer (and mine when I was like five) he also ate onions like apples and limburger and braunschweiger sammiches. Best techinique of his was to put a big swath of butter on the side of the plate, salt and pepper it and then put it on one side end of his corn on the cobb thus buttering it while en palate. Kept the mess way down. Maybe the next poll of around or typewriter style on the corn?
  16. BUT WHY THAT YELLOW!?!?!
  17. merits of the content are as chewy sez ... the (re) issue at hand might have to go before Hans for his take on that recent digi heavy 6XXXX series.
  18. helps to listen to the above in this voice: man...
  19. yeah, might be a tad of smoove here but was this music not the basis for it all ... where would kenny be if it weren't for... organissimolinkycdnuniversey i do like her voice. her other set is on Schema as well and has a bit too much of that mod-redundant-pigeon-head-bob-club-beat to pop it into so called dance music.
  20. Newish to me release by Rosalia de Souza: 'Brasil Precisa Balancar'. This time around she's under the helm of Roberto Menescal rather than Nicola Conte. A much more traditional "jazz grouping" take rather than the "clubby" work on her first record. Will appeal to that "morelenbaumx2 guy"
