  1. not that I saw it but Seu Jorge was in that Bill Murray film "Life Aquatic" where he plays Bowie tunes. never heard them either.
  2. that 54 yarder by Gostkowski was sweet ... pooor Adam! anyone see Pats' LB Barry Gardner's leg injury while blocking on a kick return last night? ooh man it was Theisman ugly. not sure whether he broke the thing or trashed the knee??
  3. no. left with some wacky triangular concord fantasy etc 3 disc + cdrom sampler for cheap instead. was just looking thru the maze of discs and that title on the spine caught my eye. thought it was some ellingtonian boot hank but looks like a rock group in a well. guess i should have at least sampled the title cut.
  4. spotted at my local used rekkid shop last nite - amazing how something jumps out of the racks.
  5. Dan... I'm in the States and the buyer is in southern EU. Providing tracking was to be nearly $30 for this rather than air letter post and was offered as an expensive alternative. Other international shipments were made on the same day and a pack to northern EU just arrived last week ... nearly two months! for Air? Hopefully I've got the buyer to sit tight and since I have several hundred transactions in the past seven years I'm looking like I know what I'm doing. OTOH you never know when you're being taken for a ride.
  6. Friend of mine and I shared a bottle of this last Sunday. Very nice, smooth and not so chewy with hints of playful discordant fruitfulness especially with aural accompanyment for placebo effect. Goot und schtronk too boot!
  7. that dog ... obviously a "Buckeye" fan ... has seen his share of them Ohio State Highway Patrol "Signal 30" movies and is scared shitless!
  8. in the midst of a harangue with an international buyer who bought two very nice discs and paid market value for them. the items were shipped nearly a couple months back and sent via air mail, packed perfectly etc. no priority docs were filed other than my customs mini form. buyer is pissed and so i am .... BUT ... with all international transactions that i even do i know i take the chance that this big ass world might just gobble something up. i've never, ever lost a package i have sent and have also waited extremely long for items from holland and italy etc... not certain of what recourse the international buyer has via paypal. my feedback is of no importance to me. so... what are your experiences, has ever happened to you?
  9. thanks very much JimR. i scoured for a while thinking that maybe the "O" made this a different group, which in a way it did. found various hints but did not check HMV ... never ordered there either so i will wait it out. don't believe i have heard anything from this group's trio members in the past so a grail it will be. fantastic in the two cuts i did hear and the crackling epitome of your hard bossa sound!
  10. ah shit, is all i have to say (as i spit scalding coffee on my acorns) ... you guys are killing me this morning!
  11. JimR ... just listening to a "surreptitious" blog comp w/ Trio 3D doing "Consolacao" and O Trio 3D doing "Tamanco n Samba"... both just kicking major butt floss. finding nothing much on the googling so I'll defer ... please.
  12. not to hijack but can i be there right now!?
  13. I love her voice much but that Suba is light years beyond BG in interest as far as a solid platter is concerned. I had picked up those two Bebel's when they came out respectively and the second was quite a yawner esp after hearing her on an Arto Lindsay/Towa Tei thing long ago. Cibelle, who voxes on Suba, was a good start but tiresome in short time. Her new one seems very very laid back from samplings. Recently "got the wife" that new Rosalia DeSouza as she reminded me of a smoother voiced Marisa Monte (who's early stuff is all good). And I sure wish Lillian Vieria from that Zuco 103 group would do something great - she seems like a lot of fun! All that Six Degrees catalogue is at Emusic.
  14. this one's playing that rikkileenorahjones jones but quite nicley IMO.
  15. Shipp vs AntiPop Consortium tipped "All Blues" not badly a few years ago (save for some silly rapping ).
  16. I'm Chris Webber too, Agg. He must not be very good. no ... i'm Chris Webber! now from the same site - which goalie are you?
  17. re: "Anyone able to log on to Emusic....." yes
  18. "Don't Fall of The Bridge" - nine minutes of double caffeinated heaven. boy was I excited when I first saw the topic. one can only hope that the lull in the Brititsh re-issues means there is a deluge on the way.
  19. Hard to Jan with LockJaw
