  1. only got a chance to set the hook once and she got away ... should have brought that lacrosse stick for a net ....
  2. and no doubt she has a time with salmon chu-chi lime leaf but the finger lickin' thing i'd imagine makes it all moot.
  3. Well every Hammond Forum needs it's proper footing. Zipped by here last weekend from this side whilst trying to nab some stripers with the fisherman next door (and btw his better half's footwear ARE jive-ass!) Link to the historical page: HAMMOND Organissimo owes itself a tour when on tour!
  4. it's scary and you are never prepared when you drive into it and tune in to listen to the local weather and traffic announcements. believe you me last time i was there i waited in the rain for hours and you were late.
  5. I sold the Sony Japanese issue of Zorn's "Cynical Hysterie Hour" when I heard it was to be re-released by Tzadik on eBay for over $150!!!! I guess I was the former and the buyer the latter...
  6. That warning is not strong enough!!! ooof ... Theisman... nice that LT was on top of the call for the medic.
  7. NFL Hardest Hits looking for some Butkus (in here) and Jim Brown but check Earl Campbell schoolin' Isiah Robertson about halfway thru... he's not even at full steam.
  8. My deepest sympathy to you and your family, Kevin. (My dad was also a lineman - Ohio Bell - and then long distance toll repair as well. Amazing that they could climb poles like a logger and get down and suture bundles of wire like a surgeon AND fix anything!!) Thanks for sharing your heartfelt memories.
  9. i think it is Sep 26th ... so you'll just have to surprise that dog for his namesake's belated birthday.
  10. the "LINK" sez it is and even shows a nice little quicktime in what looks to be finely restored glorious black and white. the Monk is even nicer "film-wise", but these are compressed and reduced so who knows about the graininess of the final product.
  11. Oohhh Man, how was the sound check!?
  12. lookin' a bit like jamie foxx in drag in that last pic.
  13. some of my distant cousins down in West Virginia thought so...
  14. picked this up, still sealed, at a bar/art space for $4 . essential even for an additional $8. so, is that new 'Gigilo' really so much better as an RVG?
  15. Before Big John died...I played him the Money Jungle cut off of this CD. His reaction was exactly what mine was... WHAT THE FUCK DID THEY DO TO MY MUSIC. Turns out Patton, Ron Carter and Waits cut the track and left. Afterwards they put the fuckin' rap on it and ruined it. Patton was pissed beyond words. I'll stand by my vehemence. and even put them into a litre of Coke for fun. Tried again to gain some of what JS took here and do see that point as this being contemporary, thoughtful to the tune and all and that if a handful of kids, who probably have no way to even hear this record, go out and pick up 'Gotta Good Thing Goin'', 'Blue Planet Man' or some such then the message has been heard and all is good. But the song is still unlistenable keerap to this now sounding like an old fart who is still not quite that old as to have them babies sneak out without forethought ... (my posts are another story)
  16. "Money Jungle" ... with BJ Patton, Carter and Waits ...AND Black Star = mos def and taleb kweli? I've even heard of these guys but thankfully till now I had never actually listened to them. Couldn't be a bigger WTF! these kids can't even harmonize let alone rap. Mingus would have slapped both upside their off-key lips! quite the spoiler but the rest is very worthy of a nice deduction.
  17. a broadcast a sale and a kudo all in five minutes ... you guys must have wings on your fingers.
  18. chewy ... as I sit here listening to NoRoomForSquares, can you please tell me if Hank based the intro and outro riff on "Old World, New Imports" on the theme from The Flintstones? or was it the other way 'round?
  19. oohhh yeeeyas. a nice Viennese brew. plus you don't ever have to worry about them tipping over. ...but pass on that regular Modello in the clear bottles ... pee yeww! I too get an orange slice query whenever I order up a Heify or other wheat these days? silly, but free vitamin C
  20. a brief history of organissim-OCD: I text edit all the booklets along with 192k rips of the CDs then burned them all onto my iPod and then sold them (so I could afford glasses to read while jogging) ... the boxes I keep in the backseat in case my kids want a nice hefty lap easel to color on.
  21. unless of course you're Monk in a wagon and then you get to go every which way.
  22. & time to start sending R some photoshop freelance jobs! and I heard these guys were allowed to come for dinner?
