I don't think I know that series, thanks. Btw do you know who the performer is of the rendition of "Secret Heart" that was played during the end credits the last episode? Is that the original artist or a rendition?
-
Hope it will get here too. I can imagine you missing the "Godzilla" of the series like they called her, I think I will too. I also like her part on "Happy Valley", that was quite an opposite. Who's the other pretty lady named Alicia? Lovely ending of "The A-word" indeed. Following a new series called "The Syndicate". Looking forward to a documentary on Amy Winehouse that is planned for this week. Also, on the BBC, a program on Gareth's Invictus choir. I've seen something on him before where he was organizing a reunion of choirs he had worked with before, school choirs. I really enjoyed that at the time. Not sure this is a re-run or a new program, but I will try to catch it when I can.

Yep! I know they are. Yep! I know Sheena wasn't part of his band and I fully appreciate Prince for working and supporting female musicians! I perhaps should have phrased differently to avoid misunderstandings.
-
Hi Bluesnik, I know you meant Sheila E. I simply was replying to you stating about female musicians working with Prince. Sorry that I gave the impression I took Sheena for Sheila, big difference indeed.
-
I didn't mean her vocal abilities. She's always been a fabulous singer. It is more like I felt she turned into a 'Prince-clone' somehow at the time. I've danced a lot to his music, I just didn't watch the clips.

Shakespeare (in and out of jazz)

I think it was on BBC2 a program about Shakespeare. A few times there was music, a couple of duets I really liked. I didn't see the whole program. -
I don't think I know "Trapped". I've looked it up, I meant "Fortitude" which takes place at the Artic. Eccleston played a small part in that one. You mentioned the boy in "the A-word" earlier and his good acting. I thought the same boy played in "Safe House" but I'm mistaken. (Both had name "Joe" in the series and sometimes they use the child's own first name to make it easy.) His name is "Max Vento". The boy in "Safe House" is also a Max but than with last name "True". He has done more acting (since 2012), while Max Vento just has started it seems here in "the A-word".

'Follow the money' is really, really good, I can tell you. This 'Icelandic' one is that the one with Christopher Eccleston? I've really enjoyed his acting in "Black out" and other series. Now he's in "the A word" too. I think he's a fine actor.

Very enjoyable program on the BBC tonight with lovely music. I don't know the artists unfortunately. -
Yeah me too. Although I did like Sheena Easton more before Prince more than after. We have had 3 National lady musicians working with him who all did well for themselves. The most famous is probably Candy Dulfer.

Lots of rumours here about the cause. I hate that, let's just wait till it is investigated. I was never a real fan either, although I have enjoyed dancing to his music and did really like some songs. I think he was a real clever musician and he is very respected by the public. R.I.P. and thank you for the music that taught us something new.

Yes, it is Cm. It isn't Eb it has a minor key. I can not think of a big band called that way, but I'll go search. I know a singer called Marleen but she'll be too young for the time you've said.

Derek Watkins and John McLevy are listed for the "Live in Stockholm" album. So it might be one of them. Is that the recording you are referring to?
-
Thanks for the info guys. ITV, I don't think I have that one.

Yes, I'm curious how that will sound too. I would be surprised when she would have given you the wrong keys than the ones she wants, but there are singers who don't know their keys, you are right about that. Yes, I thought about Ella's rendition of Time after Time, another arrangement I got since one big band asked me for it. In the end we performed other songs. Ella did that in G and Ab since there is a modulation. Bb seems rather high to me for a lady singer. I didn't mean that about every big band, just the one I worked with at the time. They didn't like too many flats or sharps for the horn players which is understandable. I could have easily done it a bit up or down, but since then all parts had to be written into music software that was a lot of work. I might still do that though, in case I want to do the song in another key than Db.

Ah, I'm almost afraid to ask which BBC channel? I might not be able to watch it when I don't have the channel. I did notice I can watch "Last tango in Halifax" now, but it is series 3, so would I be able to get into it while missing the first 2 series? Happy Valley series 2 already on too, so I will be able to watch that episode I've missed last time. Scott & Bailey is on too, not a new series though, I've already seen it either on belgium tv or the BBC or it is a rerun I can't remember where I've seen it. So which series is it, 5?
