  1. I recall that the late, lamented Otis Ferguson had some reservations about Hammond.
  2. Congratulations Chuck!
  3. Yes indeed. But that's probably the point of it.
  4. Coming up soon: Ball Of Fire, North By Northwest, T-Men, Seven Men From Now, and The Adventures of Robin Hood. Not bad!
  5. I remember watching most of the episodes on TV back in high school. Good stuff!
  6. The thing that really concerns me -----Lois Lane now has a kid? Wha??
  7. Shows what a little electrolysis of the hairline and eyebrows can do for you.
  8. Sixteen----wow!! That's a very long life for a dog. Acting must have been good for his health.
  9. Another vote for Such Sweet Thunder, ...And His Mother Called Him Bill, and Anatomy Of A Murder. Hard to go wrong with anything, though.
  10. Guess I can give that one a miss. Haven't read the Priestley, but it's one of those books I've been "meaning to" read for years. (Actually, it may have been one of those books destroyed in a basement/garage flood a few months back. Oh well.)
  11. Fork? (????)
  12. "Relaunch"?
  13. Pax---Andrew Hill (Still haven't listened to it yet.)
  14. Indeed. I very much agree. Great choice. Coolin' and Evolution are also very good.
  15. I tend to agree with the detracters above, but I have to admit to really enjoying The Mod Squad when it was on. Of course, that was when I was still in elementary school...
  16. Hey, don't worry! No judgement here. (I can't tell you how many times I've had the Kimba the White Lion theme going through my head.)
  17. I hesitate to say this, but seasons 3 and 4 are the best.
  18. Well, as for #2----isn't all jazz supposed to be improvised/improvisational to some extent? "Creative"? Wha? Isn't all ART supposed to be that to some extent? "Progressive" always struck me as a rather dated term. Free: The jazz records/CDs that your roomate gives you when he's moving out because he doesn't want them anymore.
  19. Wow, that is interesting Paul. I had no idea.
  20. When I first heard of House music, in about 1990, I instantly thought of dance music played in a "house."
  21. You know how a piece of music will get stuck in your head sometimes, usually for no particular reason, playing over and over like a tape loop? For me, right now, it's the theme from the TV show "Mr. Broadway" which is strange because I never saw it once growing up. So share it with us; it may help to ease your frustration. The Turnaround? The Ballad of Jed Clampett? Whatever! Do tell!
  22. Amen to that.
  23. Same goes for "Raggedy Ann" from the Take Twelve album. Great track, and great driving music.
