Yes I see some sense in the article. However I can now buy more types of music now and quicker than before. As commented elsewhere and before we have become very used to the fact that there are lots of Blue Note CDs out there. There never used to be when I started buying em. ...and they cost lots more then than they do now. Why?/...Look around and I can buy the same cd here in the UK at HMV type of places for lots more then I want to pay for them. Alternatively I can go online and get it from the an online distributor for heaps less. Case in point is the new Grant Green cd at Mozambique...ordered through here....my fav board. How easy is that and for not lots of bucks ( I believe I preordered it for $9.70- the shops over here would have wanted me to part with double that I am more than sure) Things change I admit but not always with such black and white results. Just think. How many years as a Grant Green fan did you sit and sulk knowing full well that they would 'never' reissue Final Comedown ( ok it was never that good), Iron City let alone previously unreleasable live sessions

I have had the slice offered in hefe before and cider as well but not so much any moe...used to be used to flatten fizzy cider years ago so you could drink it quicker Now I just drink real cider ( alcoholic and bearly fizzy ) and prefer Hefe without a slice and as for corona eeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww reeeeeeeeeeeeeeegggggggggg and other warm beer type of words -
I have the Harold Mabern and it was well worth buying. Never got much of a kick from Chet Baker though. Go for Harold Mabern as the Chet stuff will always be around...won't it

I wonder if you offered to buy the entire collection at $2.98 they would pay for you to go over to the states and pick em up

I guess if they are not shipping abroad we could remind them that the UK technically still owns the USA ( colonies) so they will have to ship at standard surface rate -_-

Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest
andybleaden replied to Soulstation1's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
I once got chosen for a tie break at a pub quiz and we were too drunk for more questions so the too teams elected to put a pub size jar of pickled onions into 2 bowls and pick their team champion....I was on our side, very young and rather squiffy. 15 mins into the contest I leaned over to the rather violent man on the other side, stared him in the eyes, and asked him ever so sweetly if I could have some of his onions as I had run out..... He never answered and instead just fainted- whimp! We won I was made to sit in the back of the car all the way home as I chuffed like tooting Billy for the hour it took to get home. Needless to say I skipped on a fish and chip supper on the way home and one bright spark brought me a pickled onion from the chip shop....... I ate that and they all felt sick! -

Well it was like that before and always has been I guess...just at the moment you guys seem to be driving the car a little. But your independence day is kinda a reminder of when we used to get lots of things wrong Strange how things repeat themselves Have a good holiday to all of you over there and just remember, we let you win then...just for once as we could not afford the travel costs

hold yer horses Is it fixable....old stuff like receivers are usually easy to work on and it depends what has happened to it. Did a fuse blow inside? Sometimes these are the main problem (not inside the plug ) in the machine itself and if it is this will cost ...pennies to fix Blew mine 6 years ago when setting it up after a move....heard a noise and a wire in a glass tube had split...got some of the same wire for less than a $ and fixed it easy.... give it a go before this gets moved to the audio forum!
