The Phils have been seen as the front runners for awhile for him and Harper. The new Mets GM wants to make a splash so I think they will make a serious push. Phillies made a serous run last year only to fade in the stretch so I think they're a serious contender in the NL East. I think the Braves are the team to beat in the East but it's hard to know until early next year.

RIP Mr. Hargrove. If you're a non addict or don't have a friend or family member who is or has been, it's hard to impute your way of thinking to one. Moreover, we're here to mourn his life and celebrate his music. Although it's a free country -- at least for a bit longer -- I don't believe condemnation is appropriate.

You're not that much younger than I am (three years) and I'm a 60s person so how did you miss it, unless you were being facetious. I don't identify with much rock music after the 60s -- not to say that there wasn't some good stuff being made and although I'm way over generalizing, by the mid to late 70s, it seemed like a wasteland. Of course, by that time, I had less time to listen as I was heading to grad school and had other concerns. What it does strike you as.

On the other hand I listened to Magical Mystery Tour yesterday and really enjoyed that. My only disappointment was that the album wasn’t longer. Did you ever buy the mono box reissued a few years ago. Great sound. Much prefer them in mono than stereo.

With all this discussion, I listened to Rubber Soul yesterday; it wasn’t speaking to me. I guess you have to be in the right mood.

It’s been awhile. I will need to listen again.
