Like I said it's not the end of the world but it's annoying. Just imagine if Savoy had left an alternative take from the Bird Savoy Dial set.

MLB 2018: let the games begin!

He’s got a piece in today’s New Yorker but it’s not about baseball but about voting. He’s 98 and legally blind so that may be why he doesn’t write baseball articles anymore. Get Up and Go Vote -
Allegedly, the Giants have a strong interest in Harper and the White Sox might be a suitor for Manny.

I’d harken back to Paul’s post about a time and a place. I certainly didn’t see Scott’s post as an attempt to cut off debate.

I bought the physical version and although it would be nice to have the alternate track, it’s not the end of the world.

The Phils have been seen as the front runners for awhile for him and Harper. The new Mets GM wants to make a splash so I think they will make a serious push. Phillies made a serous run last year only to fade in the stretch so I think they're a serious contender in the NL East. I think the Braves are the team to beat in the East but it's hard to know until early next year.

They’re going to have serious competition from the Phillies and probably the Mets.

This is superb beyond words. Makes watching it and All the Presidents Men together almost a requirement.

RIP Mr. Hargrove. If you're a non addict or don't have a friend or family member who is or has been, it's hard to impute your way of thinking to one. Moreover, we're here to mourn his life and celebrate his music. Although it's a free country -- at least for a bit longer -- I don't believe condemnation is appropriate.

What a shame. -
Different strokes, etc. although I liked Bob Wills.

You're not that much younger than I am (three years) and I'm a 60s person so how did you miss it, unless you were being facetious. I don't identify with much rock music after the 60s -- not to say that there wasn't some good stuff being made and although I'm way over generalizing, by the mid to late 70s, it seemed like a wasteland. Of course, by that time, I had less time to listen as I was heading to grad school and had other concerns. What it does strike you as.

The cd, which is a mini lp, says Capitol/EMI. 11 songs.

This is a terrific article by Gay Talese about Sinatra that I read a few years. Frank Sinatra Has a Cold

On the other hand I listened to Magical Mystery Tour yesterday and really enjoyed that. My only disappointment was that the album wasn’t longer. Did you ever buy the mono box reissued a few years ago. Great sound. Much prefer them in mono than stereo.

With all this discussion, I listened to Rubber Soul yesterday; it wasn’t speaking to me. I guess you have to be in the right mood.

It’s been awhile. I will need to listen again.

I listened to them years later. My Big 4 are Aftermath, Between the Buttons, Let it Bleed and, even though it’s a compilation, Big Hits (High Tide and Green Grass). I like the earlier albums much more than the later ones. The first two I mentioned are, imho, superb.

I generally stopped listening to them after Let it Bleed so I wonder if it was after that. I still enjoy everything before that. When I was in high school my friend and I used to listen to them religiously and we considered them better than the Beatles. In our high school, in Barcelona, we were a different minority. As an aside, John Derek and Ursula’s Andress’ stepson, Russ Derek, was in our school. We had a lot of fun together.
