  1. I listen to Sirius XMs jazz station from time to time. I enjoy their Organ-ized program on Friday evenings.
  2. The stick seems like an idea. I have to see if my wife's car has a USB and try it out.
  3. Perused all the comments and I'm with Catesta. As far as putting albums on the iPhone space is not unlimited so I place very few albums on the iPhone. An option is just to use the iPod but that means fiddling with that while you're driving. Not a great idea. With a 6 cd changer you can load them before driving so no messing around needed. All that being said, I realize some of us are swimming against the tide.
  4. Well, I stand partially corrected. I was looking at the CR V since we want to downsize from what we have (Acura MDX) and the CR V doesn't have a CD player so that's off the list. Also taking a look at the Outback and it comes with a CD player. A CD player is one of my must haves.
  5. I'm in the market for a new car and although i haven't test driven any yet, that is not what I'm seeing. At any rate, I wouldn't buy a car without one.
  6. Yes and I wouldn't buy one that didn't have one. Truth be told that's where I do most of my listening.
  7. Ditto on both counts.
  8. An excellent chance to pick up some fine OOP sets.
  9. That's not a bad idea. Think I will do the same.
  10. Organization vs individuality, perhaps?
  11. You won't be disappointed, as others have noted.
  12. Thanks. Not sure how I feel about it yet. It's a bit of a weird feeling.
  13. Just finished Mikhail Lermontov's A Hero of Our Time and am now reading Hillbilly Elegy.
  14. I received it today and good thing as it was sent to my office and I retired today. Listened to a few cuts and really like it, especially Taxman.
  15. Lionel Hampton Mosaic. I bought an external cd drive this week for work and it's made all the difference.
  16. Had no idea. One part of the article said his paying her rent gave you a sense of what kind of man he was. How true. RIP.

    Thanks for clarifying that.
  18. Yes, agree with Paul. The one stat that I do like -- and can understand! -- is WHIP.
  19. Welcome Mr Porter. I would have enjoyed such a set -- in some form -- but glad that I have the various albums. When I need a pick me up, I listen to them (among other times!).
  20. There was a recent article in the New Yorker about it. It's something I definitely wish to see. Recently saw Louis Malle's Au Revoir Les Enfants. A very moving movie, particularly since it was based on actual events.
  21. Dan is right; I was referring to the older comment. Apologies for not being clear.
  22. I don't think it's very nice -- the most diplomatic way I can say it -- to throw accusations at someone and then refuse to elaborate. If you weren't going to provide any more information, you shouldn't have said anything.
  23. I think you'll like the Boogie Woogie. I was pleasantly surprised.

I assume they can reissue Our Man Paris because the copyright period has expired.
