    Hank Mobley

My first Mosaic and a great one. Get all his stuff although his last BN album wasn't that good.
  2. The chances of seeing any Three Sounds being reissued are purty slim.
  3. Posted on it once or twice. Haven't looked at it since.
  4. If you're interested in reading about D Day, I recommend Max Hastings' D Day, Carlo D'Este's Decision in Normandy and Rick Atkinson's recently published Guns at Last Light (covers more than D Day).
  5. Nothing like standing on the beaches where so many gave their lives.
  6. Sorry, don't come here that often anymore.
  7. Marc Myers posted this, http://www.jazzwax.com/2013/06/dave-lambert-lost-tracks.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Jazzwax+%28JazzWax%29, at his website, about an audition at RCA in 1964 that was never released or saw fruit. Fortunately, some tapes of the session survived.
  8. The article also mentioned parking being a problem. I've been to Hoboken a couple of times and it's a huge problem. A real detriment.
  9. Heat in 6.
  10. RIP. 57 is way too young. Jazz Wax had a small tribute with a couple of good clips.
  11. Put it in the books! Mets sweep Yankees. Yeah, that's right!!!!!
  12. This is not an accent thing but I put on subtitles as my hearing slightly deteriorates.
  13. On my list!
  14. Great accomplishment from Mikey T. However, they way they've beeng going, they'll probably score 2 runs tonight and lose.
  15. Maybe it's time to change the name of the label. Any resemblance between what BN was (no pun intended) and the present time is purely coincidental.
  16. Think I tossed them all several years ago.
  17. I have very few of the Muse so this will be of great interest to me.
  18. I haven't purchased too many lately but am listening to ones I haven't listened to in years.
  19. I had planned to go but real life got in the way
  20. Good wins for Mets and Halos. Great relief pitching for Halos. Scott Rice, a 14 year veteran of the minors, finally got a chance to pitch in the major leagues by pitching the 9th for the Mets.

    Grant Green

This is also my favorite Grant Green album. This is defiinitely superb and It Ain't Necessarily So is one of my favorite tracks period. I'm not a big fan of his later period funk period but most of his BN material is priceless.
  22. What's not to love? I have a couple of his Bee Hive dates that are pretty cool and of course I love his BN stuff.
  23. Won't be a great season for the Mets but hopefully things are looking up and it's the start of spring and a new season so how can that be bad?
  24. I went to the PG a few times before Shea opened. By then, it was a shadow of its former self. It was huge.
